I started eating baked vegetables. I can put cabbage and onions in a ziplock bag, add some seasoning and olive oil. Then I bake it until it's just starting to get soft. I make bags for the whole week and eat them as needed. They have few calories and make me feel full.

Low carb all the way home. Atkins/Keto is temporary. I've lost 18 lbs in a month doing it. It is not a sustainable diet, and after you go through a couple of cycles, it's harder to get back in. The food gets boring and heavy. If you've never done it before, though, it seems like a dream. All the steak/burgers(no bun) you want.

Besides that - the obvious - discipline! Even low carb takes discipline. Like I mentioned, even tasty food can get boring and monotonous.

find some exercise that you enjoy doing. Give it a chance, stick with it. It's way easier to lose fat if you put on some muscle.
If you don't work out, in the beggining you will have some very fast results. that'll keep you going.
Food is harder, but I really don't recommend trying out very restrictive diets. They usually work for a while, give you fast results, but as far as I have witnessed, the vast majority of people cannot keep that up and end up gettint fatter than when they began.
Just eat better and healthier. Less processed food, less carbs, more fibers, more protein. Talk to a specialist, see if you can hit your macronutrients needs.
If you keep eating better, then eating the ocasional ice cream, candy, pizza or whatever will not be a problem. you will get in shape slowly, but it will be permanent.
Until I was like... 25 years old, i used to eat pizza twice a weak, fast food, lots of candy, beer, etc. I am now 34, and still drink quite a lot, but 4 out of 5 meals are healthy and balanced. no suffering, i eat a lot, i eat what i like, and quite easy to mantain

this is a great way to injure yourself. Since running is easy, a lot of people start running and they simply... go out and run more and more and more everyday and they think that's training. Don't do that, it's very easy to injure yourself by simply running. Do it the right way. You gotta go to a gym, build some muscles on those lags. and abs and back to, to prevent back pain.
Just as important: learn to run. If your movement is wrong, you will probably hurt yourself eventually. You can start by simply running, obviosloy, but I would suggest that in a few months, you think about acutally training and doing acessory work, to prevent injury.

It's the same philosophy as low carb/keto/atkins. Reduce your insulin spikes. Six small meals a day, if your schedule affords it, is more sound advice than 3 large meals a day. By small I don't mean a few bites. Spread the calories out. Your body will get just what it needs and there's no need for a massive insulin spike to keep you alive. Insulin is what makes you gain weight.

Somewhat wrong. Weight gain and loss is hormone driven. So is hunger. The caloric composition is far more important than what you think you are actually absorbing through diet. Fat goes a longer way in your energy levels than sugar does. There's also no direct conversion path from animal fat to human fat. You use it or shit it out. Carbs, on the other hand, good luck consuming those at the proper rate.

I keep away from refined sugars such as bread, pitas, corn syrup, literally sugar. My weight is very consistent and maintained. My advice was toward someone who isn't conscious of these things, and wanted to really cut back, but thanks for the needless advice!
Running in intervals for beginners because lets be honest, You're not going to be running full sprint for 2 minutes fat ass. Start off walking 2 mins then do 30 secs of sprint, Then walk for 2 mins. Repeat this until you have enough endurance to do 1 min of sprinting and increase over the weeks as you get more stamina and endurance. Swimming is really nice too as it's fun and you get an epic workout. Good for people with arthritis.
Also to follow up, You could do leg presses to give you more strength in your legs so you can run for longer.

Do this exercise for 1-2 hours and you will lose weight if you eat 1500 cal a day. If you don't like cooking just get the healthy tv dinner meals at walmart and some snack items. Sugar free tea and water are your best friends.
If you can't sprint for 30 secs because you're so fat you might need to tone it down to a 15 sec sprint.

When you bring yourself to running, you raise your lactic acid levels and you in general will burn only carbs. When you walk and shit at moderate/light intensity you will lose fewer calories but if you walk for 1-2 hrs you will lose 400 calories+ if you're actually fat. At this rate you will at least be able to repeat workout without feeling like shit and at the same time burn 50% carbs/ 50% fats consumed.
Also if you go to planet fitness which I recommend( You can get the hydro massage as a reward every time your done working out with the black card) Use the speed interval setting on the treadmill. Alternatively you can run outside but that's up to the weather and if your not pussy enough to run in the cold or rain.
