I'm new to Yea Forums and decided to make this post because I don't know where else to go to ask about this before I am forced to reveal truths that could potentially ruin a life. The title is the short version of my situation but I think it justifies more details. I have been working with this young man for a little bit over a year. All the time that I have been working with him, he seems like a straight shooting kid. He is in his late 20's, does his work to the best of his ability, never complains, clean shaven with a professional haircut, and dresses for the job.
We primarily work in an office setting, but sometimes have to be outdoors. On our way out of the office, he took an extra moment before heading out. I came back in to grab a bottle of water from my desk and saw him putting away a necklace with an upside down star with what looked like had the head of a goat inside. I had seen this before and I couldn't remember where. I didn't say anything because I frankly really didn't know what to say. Even though I couldn't put my finger on exactly what it was, I knew it wasn't good.
I looked it up later and saw that this is used by Satanists. He knows that I am a Christian because I had invited him to my church a few times. I don't know what to do about this situation. I mean. There is a freedom of religion in America but that's really just so we can include Buddhists and Muslims. There has to be a limit. Worshipping Satan is an entirely different thing from worshipping Allah or Buddha who are really just idols they don't realize are fake. Satan is very much real and this kid has no idea the type of fire he is tempting.
I think I may try to confront him directly and convince him why he is wrong first and try a few more times to invite him to Church. But if that doesn't work, his necklace is ultimately an offensive symbol to me and an attack on Christians. I'm afraid I may have to report him to our boss for religious discrimination.
