I've been overweight for 10 years.

I am sick and tired of it, but dieting isn't working.

I literally counted my calories for 2 weeks, and only ate 1 meal a day, with a 1,000 calorie deficit (for my weight), and I still didn't lose any weight. I even lifted weights and did 10 pushups every morning (from 0 pushups before).

What the fuck do I do?

I'm 6'2 tall, and 350 pounds.

I'm tired of being single. Nobody will date me. Haven't touched a woman in a sexual way since 2007. I'm 32 years old.

I keep trying all these different diets and my body refuses to fucking lose weight.

Make sure you calculate your sedentary TDEE and use that number not an active TDEE.

You should be eating no more than 2000 calories a day at your size for a 1000 calorie a day cut.

Two weeks isn’t long enough stupid. Keep it up for a month then look at the results.

Also your workouts should be more cardio oriented as lifting weights does help you lose fat, the muscles gained can weigh more than the fat you had.

I dont believe you. I cut out all carbs, fats and lowered my salt intake.

Little to no physical activity. Just diet and portion correctly. You dont ha e to starve to lose some weight, just not eat sugar, fat, or salt.

I realise that I will need to exercise to lose a worthwhile amount, dont get me wrong.

Don't have just one meal have small ones throughout the day to keep your metabolism going for breakfast it should be a handful of porridge oats for lunch if you prepare your own should consist of 200g of meat and 100g of carbs and dinner should consist of the same with a few added veg

2 weeks isn't long enough. 1000 calorie deficit (for your weight) is bullshit. Youre eating too many calories. Eat less calories. (For your weight) just means you're not trying hard enough.
Simplify your diet and this shit gets a whole lot easier.

Quinoa and chicken for lunch
Quinoa and chicken for dinner.
Snack on raw veggies/nuts at will.
No sauces, only dry seasonings and watch your salt intake.

You're entirely wrong. Lifting weights and putting on muscle drops fat like crazy. Your muscle does weigh more, but remember that increasing your muscle mass also increases your fuel needs, meaning muscle burns calories even when not working out. The recovery process to heal your muscles after a heavy lifting session will increase the amount of calories burned afterwords for a few days.

If you focus on cardio, and not heavy lifting you are missing a HUGE part of losing weight. Cardio alone will decrease overall fat AND muscle, meaning when you stop doing cardio it is very easy to regain the fat, where when you gain muscle your body will be burning more calories at rest, you will have a better physique, and your body wont be holding and storing every calorie like it does after very anaerobic exercising combined with a limited diet.

If you run your body at below 1/4 of a tank of fuel your body will realize and hold onto everything out of desperation. Proper eating, intermittent fasting and heavy lifting will drop him 100lbs in a year guaranteed.

That's just ignorant bullshit. Being stronger helps move that fat around, which makes it easier to be active. Not to mention looking better. That's always going to be more important than shedding pounds of muscle.

Do a week of fasting, no food.
Supplement salt and multivitamins / minerals. I lost 44 lbs that way, only 11 lbs during the fast (3 day) but more after since your stomach shrinks and food habits die out.

If you don't supplement you might get seizures and muscle cramps. Don't drink excessive amounts of water and you're good.
The hunger does completely out within 48 hrs, and then it's a stroll in the park.

Your body was made to go without foods for extended amounts of time, that's why you're fat right now.

After the fast return to healthy foods, use the plate model for every meal (1/2 veg, 1/4 meat/protein, 1/4 carbs) alternate fish, chicken, red meats.

By far the easiest and healthiest way of losing weight.

The important thing about burning fat is that you need to excercise long enough to actually start burning fat instead of using stored sugar.
The process starts about half an hour after start. So make sure you work out at least an hour or so...
This is also why the pushups had no effect.

I did it. I was 280, now 160, in about a year. I'm 5'8".
There's no such thing as calories for your height. Try eating around 1700 a day with moderate exercise.
No processed sugar. None. That shit is poison. Natural fat and full carbs are fine and healthy so long as they fit into the 1700 calories.
You need to start realistically if you're going to succeed.

What that means is:
A) your caloric output, meaning the amount your exercising isnt enough

B) You quit too early. In a 2 week span, you will probably only drop 5 lbs, which can easily be put back on with just water weight. You need a minimum of 6 weeks to see real results.

C) Your diet was shit. Eating 1000 calories is a very minimal diet. If you're not eating super healthy you wont see any results. Try focusing a little less on calories and more on your Macros (Protein, Fat, Carbs). Tracking where your calories are coming from is major.

Remember 3500 calories burnt is needed to lose 1lbs. So assuming you burn approx. 2000 calories a day and you're consuming 1000 calories. After 3.5 days you will lose 1 lbs. Meaning after 2 weeks you might have only lost 4lbs, which brings me to point B. I weigh 170lbs and my weight fluctuates 5-10 lbs every week just from water weight. Stay dedicated and you will see results.

Go to bodybuilding.com get a work out plan and a meal plan. Stick with it and find a hobbie that will keep you mentally busy

Fat Yea Forumstard here. I lost a lot of weight about 6 years ago, but have managed to put it all back on. Here's what I did.

-work 3 jobs
I was always working. I was a car porter for enterprise rent a car 4 days a week, worked for a tow company 2 days a week, and worked for a repo company 1 day a week.

-cut out ALL fast food
The only time i splurged on fattening foods was once every few weeks i bought bacon, eggs, potatos and bread and made myself a big breakfast.

-drank nothing but water and black coffee

By no means is this a healthy way of doing it. But i went from about 340 lbs down to under 290 in about 4 months.

Due to a career change, I'm more sedentary now, and have put it all back on and then some.

No one knows how many calories you are supposed to eat per day, but if you're still fat, you are still eating too much.

Although I would stick to your fasting and one meal a day. I think breakfast just triggers the somatic nervous system in fatties and puts them into lazy mode for the day. You need to be starving by 5-6PM and eat your 1500 calories between 5-10, then stop. Water until 5pm the next day.
