Currently the world is facing three problems with our population
>The global population is growing rapidly and will reach carrying capacity in the next few years
>most of the population growth is in less developed countries resulting in more people being born into poverty as well as a larger gap between rich and poor countries
>More developed countries are facing low birth and death rates resulting in an aging population that needs support from younger ones
How do we fix it Yea Forums?

Overpopulation is a meme at this point. Half the people in the world are under the poverty line and never had a clean drink of water in their life. Nothing is going to be different

We spread aids in the less developed countries
Cancer in the rich
Charge out the ass for the treatment of both
Profit off of rich fear and poor resignation.

Poor people tend to use resources at the fastest rate this would lead to faster climate change and depletion of limited resources. Besides you ignored the aging population of first world countries

I wouldn't call living in poverty and having no access to clean water burning resources

How are poor people using resources if the resources are being produced or imported to developed countries? Also why don't you fix your own country instead of crying about everyone in the world?

its less they use more but instead they use it less efficiently. This mostly applies to inefficient hunting and farming tactics such as slash and burn agriculture or hunting bush meat

Bombs away

the solution is obvious

> ageing population

most countries will get old before they achieve wealth. the problem in the late 21 century will be not limited resources but limited population. try running an economy with only older skilled workers. it's fine if you have other countries to export to but if you can't metabolize your production surplus well, we don't know what happens. my guess is that we will see a deflationary effect. fun fact if you have no young people your economy has some problems. that's why Russia will not be any substantial threat after 2025 or why you will never see consumption-led growth ever again in Europe. or export-led growth for that matter.

your first assertion is incorrect. The world total population will level out at 11 billion people. The issue with feeding these people is minimal, we have more than enough capacity to feed that many now, however it is logistics that causes the problem. But you'd know this if you weren't a mouth breather.

saged

thats a problem for countries with an aging population, thats why I mentioned it in my post

so you're solution is to change logistics, how

it doesn't matter. the world population will start to shrink in the mid 21 century. pretty much all the countries that can achieve wealth have achieved wealth have. either because of geography or by national spirt. the americans got both by sheer chance. the japs got the spirt but not the geography. people were worried about a country with less arable land that new Brunswick becoming the world foremost economic power.

We don't change logistics, the rich will eat and the poor will starve, like always and forever

You know their was a time when people thought if we reached 1 billion people on earth that all civilization would collapse

Its one of the reasons the Irish potato famine was so devastating the British literally thought it was a natural effect of overpopulation and the famine would "regulate" populations by killing off a million Irish. The British could have ended the famine but chose not to because they thought the world couldn't handle so much people so, they let them die

Today we know how stupid this idea is seeing as their are 7 BILLION alive today. Over population is a myth it's been proven wrong time and time again.

Even that 11 billion number is bullshit

Their is no reality in the "overpopulation" myth

It's always wrong they just keep moving the goal post. Once we reach 11b they will move it to 22 billion and so on

It's sort of like issues of immigrants or minorities ect their all scapegoats

Dont buy the hype

They’re not doing slash and burn to plant an acre of fucking cucumbers for their family, idiot.

They’re selling their land (or the government is selling it) to massive agribusiness conglomerates who are clear cutting and planting square miles of corn and other commodity crops.

Since the land is cheap, when they deplete one section of land they just buy more, clear cut it, and start over.

The “resources” being generated by logging and slash and burn are not staying in the third world countries, they’re being exported to first world countries which have a voracious appetite for energy, cheap food, and industrialized hedonism.

Try harder next time.

>Be decently off from wealthy country.
>Drive car around for the lol all day.
>Use disposable products. Containers, plastics, styrofoam, packaging etc.
>Doesn't know how to portion spaghetti for two.
>Takes 20 minute hot showers.
>Heats house to extremely levels in winter instead of just putting on a sweater.

I do not understand why you think poor people use more resources....

Spay and neuter your poor people today. Give them a pretty hefty reward, like a couple years worth of pay, to undergo the surgery. Now they're less poor AND can't make more poor people. And have the media romanticize the idea of the eunuch again, and set up singing schools for castrato. If people think it's cool and fun to cut off their balls or remove their ovaries they'll do it.

If you just give enough incentives to be nurse enough people will go into nursing that you can care for all the old people.
