IMO it goes the other way around but it doesn't mean what you are probably thinking:
More educated people tend to have white collar jobs and higher wages than blue collar ones and thus live in a more relaxed enviroment on a daily basis.
It's the foundation to having ocious time and sit on your ass thinking you have the whole world solved.
Reality is services and white collar jobs exists because the productivity of production (capital applied/blue collar jobs) has reached high levels of efficiency.
This is the inherent contradiction within postmodern capitalism: the better the production works, the more white collar folks (and then neets as time goes on) it makes, wich are the ones that are privileged of all those extra stocks of goods that the system makes.
These people don't see the connection and it's brainwashed on the educational system by authors that share that same life experience (that EXIST as such because of overstock in goods supply).
