Inb4 gynecology, that shit ruined my ability to get an election for a full month

Or ask anything, I don’t care anymore

Psychiatry.
Access to pills to peddle.

Dermatology.

You get to see cool things like burns, ulcers, and other strange skin things. You also not only treat patients, but are also making them pretty. Plus you get paid pretty good.

Proctologist.

gastroenterologist

brain surgery or neuroscience or whatever the fuck its called
godspeed

You did work with a gynecologist at one point?

The degenerate in me likes that idea
Too competitive, I have the scores but getting into derm takes work that I don’t want to do. Trips might convince me.
Too much miserable bitchwork. 5 years of a general surgery residency followed by 2 years of a colorectal fellowship is how doctors kill themselves

Eyeballs

This

Not op; I get to see one is those tomorrow. Yay me.

Yeah, at least a month of obstetrics and gynecology is required at virtually all American med schools

Butt hole dr

good thing you're not running for public office then

Podiatrist.

You do rotations I’m guessing. At least you do in nursing school.

Rerolling for this.

Urologist.

orthopedics

fucking with people while taking off a cast >

I know what you mean, I can't get an election more then once every two years. It's so annoying.

Ortho or nothing

A solid suggestion
Neurosurgery, Neurology, and Psychiatry are 3 entirely different specialties. Neurosurgery is 7 years and you work 100 hours per week for life, fuck that
That’s podiatry school, I can’t do podiatry
You’re correct

So close.

Trying derm one more time.

Roll

gynecology

Heart surgeon for horses

See any hot girl vag' along way?

What makes podiatry so different?

Also, Hepatologist.

cool! i love balloon animals!

It's its own thing like dentistry.

Endocrinologist.

Yes a few, but it’s such an unsexy, cold clinical atmosphere that I was just too focused on being doctory and fixing her problem. Also, you don’t realize how few females are actually in that age and attractiveness range. I worked with ages 21-80, and of those in the 21-28 range, at least 3/4 are obese, and lots of the remaining are pregnant.

Podiatry is its own school, like dentistry. You can’t switch between them. I don’t really get why, it’s just the way it is.

Heptology is great- the liver might be the coolest organ in the body - but 9 times out of 10, heptology is included under the “Gastroenterology” specialty.

Oncology because this thread is cancer.

Urology. Think of all the traps you can give sexual reassignment surgery to. They’ll love you forever.

Immunology

which I'm sure, like dentistry, came from specialists of time immemorial. dentists yanked teeth, podiatrists cut off dead toes from people with poor circulation.

Pediatrics. You get to deal with shitty parents

Urology is really cool, but you mostly do things like genital trauma, vasectomies, prostate cancer, testicular cancer, and bladder issues.

If you want to do gender reassignment surgery, your training is REALLY fucking long. 4 years med school, 5 years of Urology, 2 years of a urologic plastic surgery surgery fellowship, then 1-2 years of transgender surgery subfellowship (so I’ve been told).

FUCK pediatrics and everything related to it

infectious disease

you'll get to work with degenerates and closer to dying from ebola

roll, op is a horse cock craving fag

not to mention antivaxxers questioning you

Immunology, dumbass

Hematology, shit is metal as fuck!

ID is like 70% managing HIV patients

Jfc that’s a lot of school. No wonder traps go abroad for surgery.

pathology. be a coroner son!

You're the OP, so proctologist

Infectious disease.

This motherfucker

just out of curiosity why do you say that? my dad's in pediatrics and only really hates the occasional anti vaccine nutjob he gets

ortho, best specialty, top of the food chain

OP this is your only choice. Or the thing with traps.

Do IM, just chill as a hospitalist, find a hospital thats one week on and one week off and enjoy making 200-300k working 25 weeks a year.

The main reasons for me

1) it’s the worst-paying specialty in medicine. It’s very difficult to pay off student loans on a pediatrician salary, and the hours can be very long.
1.5) and specializing in cool pediatric specialties (like treating childhood cancers) actually makes you LESS money.
2) diagnosing children accurately is difficult because they don’t trust you, they don’t talk to you, and they don’t let you fucking examine them.
3) the parents treat you like garbage. They abuse their child with terrible diets, refuse to vaccinate, don’t take your advice, forget to give them their meds... and then when the poor kid gets really sick, it’s YOUR fault. I don’t mind when adults refuse to take my advice, but I hate seeing adults put their bad habits into their kids man.

Its thankless work that requires a better man than I. If you can deal with the job, god bless you.

Damn, what a waste of trips.

>556
fuck ima reroll if i was that close

trips decides path, and he technically did say pediatric specialty, so I guess ur life is decided and fucked by your own hand no less, so same as if u never came here to begin with...its so elegant

damn, thanks for the reply and getting trips in your own thread. yeah, my dad has been doing it for almost 40 years (i'm pretty old by Yea Forums standards) and he did work very long hours when he was younger. He also mentioned how little pediatrics made quite a bit less money than other specialties. He did tell me that MOST parents take his advice when it comes to their kids health, whereas in other specialties people won't take your advice at all

Plastic surgeon

Roll

If you need someone to tell you what speciality you should enter, you are gonna have a baaaaad time in your residency. Beleive when I tell you, and learn from my experience.

do the one where you fuck people in the ass with a black snake

orthopedy top of the food chain ? HAHAHAHA this nigger

The only real option is cardiology. If you like wires and shit go with interventional cardiology.

If you like doing whatever the fuck you want and being a honeybadger go into EP.

Gen cards is good too.

IM chill ? the fuck ?

how is cardiology the only option ? pleb

what the fuck is going on in your country then

the first smart reply I see on this thread

>on Yea Forums
>expecting smart replies

Because I wasn't expecting it, is because it caught my attention, smartass...

Endocrinologist. Been a type one diabetic since I was 1 and the lack of basic type one knowledge in the general medical community is fucking incredible.

You've met a doctor without basic knowledge of type 1 diabetes? A trained ferret that's been dead for 9 years has basic knowledge of DM1
