I have the same build. I did some lifting and bulked up quite fast. Also with some intermediate fasting I would lose about 10 to 20 lbs a month while toning up. I got down to 210lbs and decided "Fuck it!" and gained like 60lbs within a year. But I will say that I went down from 300 to 210 in a period of 6 months before ballooning back to 270. Just got to be committed by I will say that skin will get flappy and loose around the midsection.

Fasting is working great for me. Staryed in janurary at 225 and now at 208. I do 24 to 48 hour fast then eat clean rest of the week. I lift using the texas method and strength has gone up. No negative consquences so far.

There are only a few reasons why this would happen, less activity/exertion, less muscle mass, slower brain/body involuntary activity, or increased efficiency in digestion and fat production. It seems like you are pointing to the last example and I don't agree nor do I understand the physiological processes involved or why they wouldn't just be enacted already. What would be the harm in digesting all your food and having peak fat production prior to starvation mode? What you propose would be evolutionary magic. Cows would only need to go a few days without eating and voila they are able to turn grain to fat faster than they ever could. People could eat less and less without starving because any and all extra daily calories are stored for the next day. This is an urban legend and unless you can point to any study that says we suddenly become super humans able to perform the same tasks for less calories it will remain one.

A dietician can help, but trust me, a psychologist is better. Much of the barriers to people sticking with weight loss regimenes isn’t not knowing what to eat but rather not being able to follow through with regimens. Most psychologists gave training in health psychology or ways to help people make health related behavioral changes
