I just watched this as well and I must say, it was pretty bad.
If you haven't watched it here's a quick rundown: it's about some guy that shoots up a mosque in new zealand. Alright, let's get into the nitty gritty.
Supposedly I am supposed to feel bad for the people that got shot? But what reason do I have to care? They all were just some cardboard cutouts with no distinct personality or motivations, actually I literally just met them for the first time mere seconds before they were killed so I had no time to grow an emotional attachment to them, I'm actually surprised they didn't pull a "showing their backstory just before they died" trope to try to force us to get attached to them.
The antagonist is also fucking bland and uninteresting, he is basically evil just for the sake of being evil, they could have made a compelling antagonist with a great motivation, a fleshed out backstory but nooo let's make generic Saturday night cartoon villain #1627968769.
The action was really boring as well. All we are seeing is the antagonist killing a lot of people but with no conflict. What's the point of having an antagonist if we don't have a protagonist to root for? Doesn't matter who the protagonist is, it could be a police officer, a super hero, a random pedestrian but we need a conflict because otherwise you will get bored quickly, there are only so many times you can watch people being shot dead with no resistance until it gets boring.
TL;DR: All there is to it is some random guy that I don't care about killing a bunch of people I don't care about.
Final rating: 2/10 the sequel better fix all this shit
