60 at a strip club

$5.75 toy with my money from being
a good boy

9k on a car

3 month rent deposit.
700€
That aside, 200€ for a PC in 2009.

My own? $300 on a 1:8 scale model sports car
At all? About 9k on tuition fees

>being a good boy
Hell yeah, well done. That's cool.

tuition

3.5K on a 1911

$15 for OPs mom

~$50000 for neurosurgery
Really was a combination of various bills for hospitals, surgeons, etc, but I wrote several checks over $20000.
Not as much fun as buying a sports car or buying a house.

But buying a house or sports car won't directly prevent you from being fucking DEAD!

Agreed, but my insurance company didn't think me being a cripple/dead was worth paying for, so I had to. Thank USA health care.

On retrospect I wish I'd blown all my money the years before and had fun then just an heroed instead of trying to get better, cause I'm still all fucked up medically.

As a kid i mowed lawns and shoveled snow so I could buy a Mox Pearl for $70. That was a shitload at the time, but now its worth $2000.

That fucking sucks. Fuck your insurance provider for not helping you out, man.

~315k on a house

though practically that was only ~80k deposit+fees

What was reason for surgery?

I have severe disc degeneration in my entire lumbar region and was enduring nerve pain (sciatica) so bad that it damaged the nerves in one side. Made a migraine feel like a 5/10 compared to this constant 9/10 pain.

Insurance decided it wasn't 'life threatening' and the recommended procedure (from multiple leading neurosurgeons I saw) was not common enough in the USA.

It helped a bit, but i still have complications, no money, no job, unable to work and nobody cares because it isn't a popular problem like tit cancer.

$500 on my Aria pro II bass

I have a new contractor job, pays really well. I have to make my own quarterly tax payments.
My last tax payment was $15K.
Sucks that the biggest check I ever wrote was to the government.

No W2? Usually the govt steals it before you ever see it.

>No W2?
>contractor job

Guess I don't understand those laws. I make quartely tax payments on stock and other investments, but never thought about indirect employees.

4k on my Selmer Saxophone

Alto, tenor or bari?

I'm technically not an employee, but technically my own business. So the company I work for doesn't take taxes out, so I have to make my own tax payments including social security, etc. The way to think of it is I'm paying the taxes on my own wages plus the taxes on my employer, which is also me.

Tenor. I used to play in the Jazz band at my local college, nowadays I write blues in my free time

at 24 I saved and spent 14K on a quality used vehicle that should last me 9-10 years with regular maintenance. Saved a bunch too.

3k on league of legends chests

$388,000 on a house in a pleasant little suburb
sold the last house for 220k, saved up the rest.
now I relax in whiteville and watch my dogs run around in my enormous backyard
gen X ftw

$5000 on 2500 Norcos.

Yes, I'm serious.

>388k
>house
T O P K E K

350 dollars on trashbags, bleach, and a fifty gallon drum

cant justify 400k for a box in the suburbs. in the middle of bfe yes, or on a yacht to live on, but not a suburbs box death trap.

you don't buy the house. you buy the land. you'll learn that eventually

$350 on a sex toy a couple years ago, just barely beats my headphones or computer

Nice.

Seems a good deal, especially if 10s. Could last 6 years on that.

why would I do that. I have 160 acres in bfe that a sharecropper is farming half of and pays all my taxes plus a bit extra for me.
in a few years when I fully retire ( pretty fuckken early lol) I'll sell this burb place, at a hefty profit because hey guess what, cities don't shrink. you buy the land, not the house.
then I'll go to bfe, and build whatever house I want out there. you kids need to plan

They were 10s. Lasted me, my brother, and my chick about 2.5 months.

Hope you all at least removed the vile Tylenol from them. Otherwise RIP in pieces livers.

I've learned to subside on 20-30 mg of stuff and be fine. Still wish it didn't have the aceto in it.

Britfag. £225k on a house and £18k on a car. But they're a given really. Most I've ever spent in one go was £3.6k on a watch. Otherwise I don't have anything big really.

Sometimes I did, but honestly, most of the time I didn't do a CWE. I fully expect my shit to fail at any moment.

Why are you on Yea Forums at 6am?

Missed a trick
$10 to rent OP's ass

It's 7:23. Just woken up. About to get a shower and head off to work so I can pay off my mortgage and car haha.

$2.5k on a laptop

Dropped $1800 on a brand new fender stratocaster, strings, tuner, polishing cloths, case, etc.

Alternatively, I dropped $4k on a car when I was 18. I don't count that because that money was gifted specifically for a car, though

1.4 million AUD on a house.

Oh, I fucked up the timezone. In the Northeast US (UTC-5, UTC being the same as GMT, your timezone), we just entered DST (UTC-4), and I must have done the math in the wrong direction

What's the Aus equivalent of a McMansion? BarbieMansion? I dunno lol

vial of lsd. best gift I've given myself and those around me. priceless

Wow. Screw insurance companies. Legalized extortion. Then they refuse to help if there's a problem. Disgusting.

So, back at you, why are you on Yea Forums at 3:30am?

>nobody cares because it isn't a popular problem like tit cancer.
I know that feel, I've got eye problems. Docs solution is wear sunglasses and a baseball cap.

slept from 5pm to 11

Aaaaaand this is why it's so hard to start a small business. Meanwhile, Apple gets a refund.

I spent 1500 dollars on a convention ticket this year. It's the most I've spent on one thing and nothing else I have bought even comes close.

Which convention?

Man, I wish I'd tried harder to learn to play the sax. It's such a dirty sounding instrument.

Oh dude, I spent like 2500 on my Trombone.
I too play Jazz and the blues, but now that my friends all have jobs and families, I don't play gigs anymore.
It kinda sucks not gonna lie

£12.5k on a mini when they were relaunched in the early 00s. It was to impress a girl.

16k on a new car

Pic pls

Yeah, I spent roughly the same on my horn. My applied brass professor wants me to upgrade to something better than what I have before I get my Bachelor's

Did it work?

RTX. It's a con held in Austin.

con is the right word
GIVE YOUR MONEY NERDS, YOU MIGHT SEE A CHICK IN SPANDEX
fukken lol

20k eur 15 years ago.

Honestly you're not wrong, but I had the money and said fuck it.

Sounds like fun if that's the sort of thing you're into

5k down on car. Total for one item that I do own currently 100%. 58k on the whole car over 5 years.

Yes and no. She loved the car, still didn't drop her knickers. Women used to go crazy for minis

for Gamecast

I got married once.

>She loved the car, still didn't drop her knickers.
F

Ausfag $550,000 on a house

Unless you bought it 'cash' you're a little piggy servicing the loan that will likely end up being 1.1m

1.1 MIL over a period of 25 years. Add inflation and cost of living rise and early repayments still better off than renting. And I put $150k down as deposit

$6500 to be in a porn video, got to fuck one of my favorite porn stars

The first half (13-15 years) of mortgage repayments are basically all interest. So either way rent or mortgage is dead money to start with.

You put $150k as a deposit? What do you do for work, cause my bullshit meter is peaking.

Link?

First half of mortgage term is all interest, so either way rent or mortgage is dead money.

150k deposit? What do you do for work or business ? My bullshit meters are tingling.

Your a fucking idiot, people get paid to be in a porn video not pay to be in one, no matter who you got to fuck, your dumb. You think she'd even remember the 100th dick she had in her that month?

$150k is a year's wage not exactly unreachable. Project manager. And mortgage money is not dead money when your home increases on average 7% a year. Rent is dead money.

So you have the time to post on 4chin on a $150k salary? They must not work you very hard.

Those growth percentages are only seen in Melb or Sydney, and good luck finding a 500k home in either one. Actually begs the question why you only got a 500k home if you're on such good money!

Paid 15k for my car last year

59 k Euro for my car back in 2010

Also, getting yourself into debt half a mill doesnt constitute spending a large sum of money all at once since its not your own.

25 thousand to post bond lol

Was it your money or a bondsman's?

40k
bought a house to use as a rental

Neither. Loan from not so friendly people. I'll probably never pay off, I believe I'm still just paying interest.. been almost 2 years.

Dude, you're gonna get assassinated

As long as I pay the monthly on time ill be fine

£18k on a classic car.
