I'm totally with you, OP. Went to see it completely without looking at trailers or picking up any info about it. I don't really get what's it with this diversity in movies. Just make a good movie, if it happens to be diverse, ok then.

Exactly! Diversity is great, but having it just for the sake seems dumb to me. Not everybody is going to "see themselves" in every story.

I had problems with her statements pre-move and i think there are far better choices than Larson for the Danvers character, but not to the point that i thought the movie was terrible. Its about par for quality for the older MCU movies, but since MCU is such a powerhouse, that means it is still gonna make money.
