CSN invests much more in things like their labs (electronics, computers etc.) and their buildings. You know those nice optical sensor door openers in the bathrooms so you don't have to touch the door handles? Haven't seen a single on at UNLV. On top of that the instruction at csn is far better for math and CS. Both of these are because they aren't focused on research like unlv, I imagine. That said, unlv isn't total shit, and their EE department is pretty damn good (mainly thanks to Dr baker) always take EE from Dr. Baker! CSNs psudo EE isn't bad, but Dr baker knows how to challenge you while not wasting your time. CPE at UNLV take Dr. Harris, she's a great instructor also!
