I know ill get crap for this but metal fingerboxes have decent torque and a good weight to them. Theres no reason they couldnt be as good as a wooden fingerbox.

metal fingerboxes are too prone to EMI
I'm liking the stiffness of my quartz box.
Fingerboxs are what newfags post to trick other newfags on this board. They don’t exist and the point of posting it is for somebody to ask”what’s a fingerbox?”
this.
Also, depending on where you order it from, metal ones might have jagged edges, even inside.
Not a great feeling to hit those.
A friend of mine had a similar one. 15lb/ft so really decent torque. You're right, metal is the future

fuck off hippie, your kind isnt welcome here
go feel your """"chakras"""" somewhere else
Retard
yes, because people make up objects on Yea Forums that all of a sudden exist.
just dont go with some old soviet shit like that
Soo he...was behind that...
Wtf is a fingerbox?
As a collector you can believe me that i fingered a lot of boxes in my life but nothing beats the feel of my vintage, hand made, wooden fingerboxes!
I just like its low compressibility.
Way to ruin the fun, faggot.
Stay mad kid
dubs of deception.
Although fingerboxes are real, AYos is a fake, photoshopped brand.
Never existed.
Iv got an old finger box from the early 1970s
Anyone know a company who does rebuilds as mine is quite worn
I prefer my fingerboxen to be made of human flesh.
Only a newfag would claim that wooden fingerboxes are surpassed. Wooden fingerboxes have proven to be very durable, got the "natural feel" and just feel perfect imho.
My cousin Tyrone once used a metal one and he got stuck. This might be due to him being black, though.
How dare you speak that bad about my proudest possession? Ayos are the greatest!!!
With some of the modern advances in material science, I wouldn't totally disagree with you, OP.
I'm still a fan of of natural boxes, tho. But I understand what you mean.
Nothing beats the classic. Don’t use my very often, but when i do it’s a party!
>metal finger box
The image of a cheese grater comes to mind. You really want the possibility of grating shit when you use it?!
I blew a 50uF capacitor in my old analogue finger box and now all the sound it makes is distorted. Sort a sounds like a seal with asthma. Just wondering if I can replace it with any old capacitor or if it needs to be a specific type, farad and tolerance.
hope you didn't think it was a vintage.. Some people apparently made some AYos FBs that said they were vintage.
No known brand called AYos has ever been registered.
I think the name was some sort of meme on the Ayy lmao meme.
I'm sure you enjoy it, just know it's not a real vintage user.
Lol say that to my grandpa and you would have gotten your ass kicked. He had a vintage AYo he got in WW2 during his time in Japan and he was super proud of it.
AYo is the Chinese knock off. Mail order only. Good luck finding one retail and with a fingerbox you really need to try before you buy to make sure it suits your style
Lol anyone who ever knew their grandparents knows fingerboxes have been popular since Teddy Roosevelt moron
Bunch of faggots. Nothing beats DIY fingerboxes
I have an old school corrugated finger box I inherited from my dad when he passed on
Whoa easy there satan
Cant take to steel fingerboxes, just too cold of a feeling, prefer wooden and mostly vintage, they just dont make them like they used too
analog fingerboxes have their place but the benefits of digital today are impossible to overlook
Am I the only one polishes my fingerbox with Skub?
Digital defeats the entire point of fingering. Lame

Not a brand but the actual designer. This can be verified with a cursory google search mouth breather.
This collection is amazing. Good work user.
Obviously the classic wooden boxes built back when craftsmanship was everything are really special. But I agree with you to an extent -- some modern boxes made of modern materials and using modern technology are worthwhile fr a collector.
In my opinion, the metal casing boxes are almost all (all?) pretty crappy on the inside -- but some manufacturers are using plastics and acrylics in quality boxes.
I would recommend the Strausman company, their 9100-B and 9100-C provide a very satisfying experience.
I prefer wooden finger boxes. Although I'm quite disgusted by the digital/solid state/computerized versions. Those aren't even real finger boxes.
I would have to say that I am anti-skub.
I'm not into the crystal ones either but I know some are actually legit.
This one was built in Hartford, CT, in 1745 by carpenter and silver-smith Hezekiah Trumbull. His half-brother was the first governor of the state after the Revolution.
Has anyone tried 3d printed finger boxes? I mean it's so hard to get ahold of an old refurb. And they're just as good!!
Cum Dump 4 wasn't as good as Cum Dump 8
You can feel the difference. The warmth of wood, the hand made quality. Metal in contrast whilst functioning better and being more convenient lacks character.
nonsense, the material doesn't make the difference. craftsmanship does. the turks even make fingerboxes from soapstone
