Less wealth gap, sturdier middle class, safest rated banks, less poverty, less crime, higher life expectancies, healthier, less tense cultural experience, cleaner neighborhoods, nicer roads, laissez faire attitudes and weed federally legal- cops can get baked here. All this and they still manage free basic health services, which are a goddamned right owed to you by the society you contribute to.

Higher taxes, yes, but to be honest, given the overall quality of life and cost of living here, I am more prosperous, happier, and fitter than I ever was living in the US.

There's a reason that every Western capitalist society has adopted strong welfare policies. It's the natural progression of capitalism-- create wealth, then pull up the lower classes. It has been the way it's gone for hundreds of years now. The poorest Murrican is wealthier and better off than most of the aristocracy in the middle ages, and all but the dictatorial class in socialist countries.

The welfare state is the solution to the flaws of capitalism. It's not perfect, but it's a hell of s lot better than anything else that's ever been tried.

Socialism is a way for poor people to be given stuff freely for "human rights" like free education at universitys, health care, etc. I think water is a human right too own.
