Here's another cop fact.
Cops are in control because you allow them to be. In some cities there's 1 police officer for every 50,000 citizens. Police are greatly out numbered. A "show of force" is used as a mind game to keep people in line although it is mostly a bluff.
This doesn't mean cops are bad, most of them would lay down their life to save yours.
