What is the best looking ship in history?
What is the best looking ship in history?
Rosevelt
The bluenose one of the fastest vessels that was ever crafted.
USSR made some sexy ships... their functionality was questionable though
bump, more ships you fucking negroes
deutschland class cruiser Graf Spee
or the scharnhorst
Why are they not making ships like this anymore? Fuck this gay earth.
Tirpitz>all other German surface vessels
Because their expensive with very little use?
Is this the ship from Jaws, but hires texture pack?
Some more contenders
Looks great with the "norwegian" cammo
this
>choosing pitiful ship meant for carrying while most of this thread is full of glorious independent shipe worthy of pulling their own weight and nothing else and standing up to other ships with pure courage and iron
Kill yourself user
A flying Bridge, who knew?
Any ship of the line really, I believe at one point these ships were taller then any man made building. don't take my word on that though
Sorry is this a thread about power projection?
Nope... Best looking ships and it looks fucking amazing.
If it was about power projection there'd be nothing but aircraft carriers but they look shit...
Maybe if you count the mast's height. You can still visit the permanently drydocked HMS Victory if you ever go to where the U.S. sends its worst tourists.
There's a festival every couple years in Duluth, MN with smaller tall ships. Went to the last one, saw the galleon.
boom, and still sailing
Also worth seeing HMS Warrior. Photo taken from nearby Spinnaker Tower. I used to live in Portsmouth.
Why are they not building beautiful ships anymore, what the fuck is going on? Everything is flat, anti-radar horseshit cum eyeballs vampire! I want some fucking lines. What the fuck. Fucking do ships that look nice while still capable of delivering all those modern features. Fuck this fucking shit, fuck I'm mad!
Most, but not all buildings. A church from the 13th century is much taller.
Yeah I did mean the mast.
In my onion, old ships don't look great either. Besides the tapered front, they're just big boxes.
The fuck are you doing in this thread, then. What the fuck you fucking masochist.
It's all about the sails!
I could fap to this.
Look at these sleek Yachts!
Yeah your right, but at around 200 feet tall, even most churches at the time were dwarfed by these ships, Portsmouth cathedral for example was 121 ft tall, meaning the HMS victory was an extra 80 ft taller then the tallest building in that area for over 300 years.
Honestly this is my thread of the year.
...
Get the fuck out, landlubber.
Yeah I always follow them when they appear in and amongst the celebs.
Too many tankers though :(

Single handedly making pre-dreadnoughts obsolete
Do y'all like Alestorm?
Ever play ship video games, like Naval Action, or the absolutely arcade others?
For me, it's Warspite
Soo...nice one Elon.
Have any of you sailed? I played with a single seat, lateen rigged trimaran on a lake a couple times. I hope to eventually do it again.
That's ugly af
Maybe not best looking, but interesting concept.
M/Y Skat
Sailing is the most amazing experience on planet Earth, right after sex. Nobody can prove me wrong. Everyone should try it at least once in life.
USS Monitor
Hampton Crossroads baby. Every navy in the world was made obsolete once those two started clanging away at each other.
looks like they would sink the moment they hit water.
Yes. Sailed on a sloop mostly, but work in commercial shipping.
HMS Rodney - together with other Nelson class battleships, only Royal Navy ship to carry all of its guns forward of the superstructure. And sank the Bismark.
S/V Atalante would be my pick..

Any of the razzle dazzle camo ships of WW1
THE best looking? So many ships.
This is the racing yacht America (the America's Cup was named after it).
I didn't know there were boatfags on Yea Forums....one of my favorite YT channels is this really talented Brit who is rebuilding a 100 year old sailboat that won the Fastnet race in 1927...the woodworking/craftmanship is impressive + lots of boat history. youtube.com
That's pretty dope, thanks user-chan.
Anyone know some good sailing channels?
Can't help, but I love those fishing cutters.
b u l b o u s b o w
I'd love to go back to see this kind of scene.
Smells like shit.
Relax, user.
Friendship.
Glad you liked it
Some of my favorites..
SV Delos: Been around a long time...titties, beer and sailing
Sailing Uma: Cool young couple, both architects...bought a 2500 dollar boat, fixed her up and are sailing now..she is from Haiti and pretty dang hot..
Sailing Project Atticus: Another couple bought a boat and fixed it up...became technically proficient along the way.
The Adventures of Tarka: Young guy plans to sail around the world in 27ft Albin Vega...picked up hot 1st mate along the way.
Sailing With Andy: This one kinda pisses me off because he stopped making videos..he was my favorite. Sailing noob buys Cape Dory 30, sails solo from CA to HI, and then to Pacific Islands.
HMS Victory
Gotta give it to my fellow Leaf here
More dazzle camouflage
mai waifu
nigga please
Posts shittest picture of Millenium Falcon in existence.
gheeeey
too big, too slow, basically sitting ducks, haven't you noticed how we've gone from slow ass ships, slow ass planes and slow ass tanks to fast destroyers, fast jets and fast mbt's?
Case in point the Cutty Sark. Look how amazing it looked though...
That's a boat, not a ship.
That is a boat, not a ship.
Nice painting, user. Saved.
Good use of cargo space
Laying on wood is very uncomfortable. I once spent 24 hours in a closet for fun, and it hurt because there isn't padding under that carpet.
My man
bump
Maltese Falcon
>Buy million dollar yatch
>Never use sails cuz you can't afford a crew
Anyone played Return of the Obra Dinn?
They can be pretty automated now. That ship cost 150-300 million USD.
The SS Minnow
Friendship.
why would they not put the radar/coms dishes up higher
did the back 3/4 fall off??
>you have died of dysentery
A million?
Is that a joke?
I love you b/
post more ship. *.0
Literally.
I wonder if someone has hollowed out the bottom part and put a fleshlight in there??
"What's the ship's name ?"
"It's the 'Mankind'."
It was the USS Liberty.
We should remember that.
Reminds me of the kid on /diy/ who wanted to buy aluminum spools and make a """rustproof""" ocean houseboat, ***to save money***
IJN Yamato / Musashi were the best battleships built during WW2
TORA TORA TORA
real talk.
Statsraad Lehmkuhl

RMS Olympic. It looks better in White Star Livery I swear
Hergozin Cecilie. Runner up would be Olivebank but I have no pics.
