In large, it's socially frowned upon, but I personally think it's fine. When I was 16, I knew what I wanted, and I'd have fucked someone twice my age back then. Fuck it. But as other user stated, the dating part is a no-no... I can't say there will never be exceptions to that rule, but usually not something that's worth the time.
