I pretty much skimmed over it but not deeply read into it, I mostly focused on his second unpublished book more because it was more of a interesting look into who was his targets. The Russians were his target because landing on the UK was pretty much a bad idea. Germans were behind in landing craft and you can’t get a submarine to carry troops across. Not user, but wrong. Hitlers scientists were the first to write paper on the nuclear program. Hitler was interested in the tech and made two guys lead scientists. One of them told hitler that the nuclear bom was almost impossible to develop, because he feared a nuclear germany. As a consequence the second one also lost his funding during war, because why support something impossible during war. But that guy wrote several leter to hitler about more manpower and wanted to finish it. Hitler just valued the other guys opinion more.
Also germany was the first country to have enough nuclear material for a bomb. That was planed to be sent to Japan by submarine for research on civil usage. But the USA got its hands on that material and used it for their bomb.

No, not wrong. By 1933 the majority of chemists and physicists in Germany had left the country. Of the rest, all the Jewish ones were purged and a good portion of the rest were conscripted, and never called back to help with the project. The project was never cancelled, continued to be funded, and made progress towards a working bomb up until about 1942 when it all got scattered to the winds not as a result of one man's opinion, but as a matter of necessity.

I never said they made it a priority, but it's disingenuous to suggest that they weren't pursuing it. The majority were sent to research the rocket based missile was because it was (correctly) identified as having a greater significance to conventional warfare than yet another bomb that you'd have to devote aircraft to. Nobody uses traditional bombs anymore, I don't know if you noticed, so clearly they were right. Nuclear weapons have done less to change the face of war than the rocket propulsion missile has.
