I used to have pizza delivered 2-3 times per month. Then in 2006, every pizza place in the country decided to turn into jew fucks and add a $3 delivery charge. I think I've had pizza delivered about 3 times in the last 13 years.

All of the employees at those pizza shops are buddies, they practically see each other 30-40 hours a week, yes? So if you don't tip, they will remember because they can add a note in the shops computer system which pulls up your address when you call. A note will say 'Does not tip'. So the person making the pizza will give you less sauce, less cheese, and extremely unfair portions of toppings. Or vise versa with more sauce than normally intended with a Jewish portion of cheese and meat.

That is the point with delivery, you pay for the service for someone else to deliver it for you. You do save money on the delivery fee, and save money on the tip.

However, you still have to use gas to get the pizza. Not like its far distance from your place to the local pizza shop, but still, you are consuming your own gas. Plus your very own time, sitting in the car, staring at a road driving to go get pizza. How much is 20 minutes of your time? For some, a lot. Others, not shit, but it varies. Also, just a very random thought but you could get in a wreck or hit a deer while driving to get your pizza, so that 8.50 just cost you thousands. Not like that will happen, but statistically speaking it could happen.

You missed the point in where the service is. Its making the pizza (properly), and having someone deliver it for you if you don't want to pick it up. And if it was a major issue, the tipping industry would demand a change, but normal people actually tip so its not a 'big' problem. They just get super agitated when they work for free, essentially. Whether it be delivering pizzas, cutting hair, serving tables, etc.

I don't use self-serve checkouts, I won't order food delivered via drones. I won't use self-driving unsupervised taxis if they ever happen. If there was a gas station I knew about here where they would pump gas for you, I'd pay extra for the service (IF IT WAS PART OF THE BILL) and drive out of my way to go there.

If you offer me delivery and agree to send me your food for the price of the food then you've agreed to that and shouldn't complain if someone takes advantage of it.

If you think tipping should only be for rich people who are willing to give charity to poor people then charge a 5-10+$ charge for delivery and then only rich people who are ok with paying extra will use it.
