I was driving home from college listening to Howard Stern when the first plane hit the tower and I went home to watch the news coverage

getting out of school. 5th grade. was a Tuesday. Every Tuesday would be early release day. it was 5 minutes to 12,just before the 12pm release bell. the teacher was explaining to the classroom that New York had been attacked and bombing was happening

Got in touch with parents, my dad was supposed to be in one of the towers that morning but he didn't go. Everybody was fine. Said fuck it and left work and stopped at a bar for a while and watched the collapses a few times. Met GF at her work. Went home and watched it all again and again. Felt homesick
