The first step is making sure your passport and paperwork is all in order. Our immigration customs are pretty lenient towards the Nords so you will likely get accepted no problem. Afterwards you want to get a job lined up as soon as possible, followed by a place to live. You can stay in a hotel or something until you find work, but you cannot get an apartment without income unless you want to be screwed over by the banks on your deposit and rates. I recommend researching what kinds of jobs sweeds get here after moving since it could help you get your foot in the door.
Overall I do not recommend moving to a really populous area: they're getting worse and more expensive, especially back East. You'd probably find the Northwest to Midwest the most at home, climate-wise, and have the best luck with your cost of living being reasonable compared to the work available. If you don't care about weather you may want to try Texas, weird I know. It's because Texas has great labor infrastructure that makes nice housing quite cheap and easy to find as well as many large industries always hiring, like oil and construction.
