i play the drums and a little bit of bass guitar. studied music theory so i have a pretty standard understanding of most instruments and how they function

guitar, bass and try messing with keyboards now and again

OP plays the skin flute

Guitar and ukulele. Been playing for about 5 year's

Sweet. Seems like pretty seasoned players

12 years alto sax, few years euphonium, synthesizer (AKAI Ewi)

What do jam to?

Mostly piano these days. I used to play the guitar, but I never got that good at it. I was still better than beginners though.

That's the mods

What do you jam to?*

I'm too stoned

Piano is awesome man! Classical?
I could never get into the guitar that much either.

>What do jam to?
actually been trying to learn money, enjoy gilmour/page/blackmoore so generally blues. need to keep working on finger dexterity though, got me some lazy hands like clapton. what type of style you do?

Viola for String Orchestra, with some solo pieces every now and again. Not super advanced, but really enjoy playing.

I actually play whatever. Sometimes classical stuff, but sometimes just other random junk. Sometimes I write my own stuff.

guitar, drums, skin flute, bass

>competent as to play for a living
electric guitar (lead or rythm)
acoustic guitar
>enough for amateur gigs
bass guitar
>keep it home
piano

the guitar is a dead instrument
the idea of a "rock star" is dead.
christ, most people dont even play instruments anymore. they play software.

The acoustic guitar isn't dead, but electric mostly is, with the exception of fringe genres that still survive.
I've really come around on electronic music myself, ever since I've started trying to write it. But I really do prefer grunge and the stuff from 85-95.

good taste brother

I know some of Us and Them
Money doesn't sound good in an alto so I need a Tenor for that
I mainly play smooth jazz improv but I was trained in classical

Thanks!

dank memes with the girls

I feel you. I do the same as well. I'll just play whatever my mind is feeling and get lost. I've made some great stuff but sadly never recorded it. Need to get some recording equipment to record high quality clips .

i got into electronic because i was tired of the eternal search for a bass player. or a constantly having a drunk as a drummer. this is circa 93

most people are enamored with the idea of the instrument and what it brings as opposed to what you can actually create. guitar center sells pipe dreams.

music has fallen back to what it used to be. if you cant play it, then you aren't a musician. regardless of instrument. (exception is bullshit pop, cause thats all image. mtv set the standard of how music looks rather than how it sounds)

always always ALWAYS press record. even practicing.
its not like youre buying tape anymore

Bassbro here. But I have to practice very hard to just be mediocre. I keep at it though

Drums
Piano
Trombone

I played trombone from year 7 to 12 but since i graduated last year i haven't been able to take it up again

low brass 4 life!

best you can do is keep your mouthpiece and buzz on it. keep the chops working

I can also proudly say i got my teacher to get the sheet music for the ussr national anthem and i can actually somewhat play it

Nah it was a hire from school so i had to hand it back in

Hey I used to play trombone too.
It does not surprise me in the least that there are multiple trombone players here.

Buy a mouthpiece for a few bucks. Music helps your brain so much

Guitar, Bass, drums, tuba, French horn, oboe, and the radio

True, might look into it sometime soon

Piano, it feeds my ego

piano and guitar

you can buy a basic bone on craigs for 200
all you need is a mouthpiece if you wanna keep your chops in shape.

take it from me. remember when you 1st started playing? and playing 30 min made your mouth numb? just get a mouthpiece and buzz on it. 30min a day while browsing Yea Forums

you cant wake up the neighbors. and your chops will be primo.

actual positions and playing will come right back. your chops won't.

add: also bone players are in demand. i pick up bar and 1 off gigs all the time for 200. and i tell them i won't solo.

Hmm interesting

I sing. I’m classically trained in voice performance.

i lack at reading sheet music now. but lead sheets are all i need. music is a language. not printed text.

keytar

Drumset, guitar, sax, bass, percussion (marimba mainly), piano

once you get one the rest are easy

little bit of guitar, bass, and keyboard.
Wanna try cello and baritone sax, but expensive.

wish i could sing. but as bumble foot said:
"cause ive got a face thats made for radio, and a voice thats made for i don't know, and my body had its way"

Bass, harmonica. I love playing the harmonica. Yeah, you can record shit, but fuck it. Butt Fuck it.

Guitar for 4 years, piano for 6 and ive been singing since sunday school

I play guitar literally 1000 times better than the old faggots on this album

Guitar and bass. Want to pick up drums.

jack of all trades doesn't work unless youre prince if you want to continue with it past a hobby.

Guitar for 26 years. Bass for 15 years. Drums for 32 years. I’m almost 40. Never had a bad time playing music with my bros.

Autist

Guitar, bass
