Yeah, the outrage was exactly your post. All the horror is taken away from 096, because people answered all "what ifs" and making it uncontainable. People asked why it is better to have a time traveling hunter than an scp that preys on you until you enter its timeline.
But the consens was that with the introduction of multi dimensional councils watching scp foundations and time travel being possible and common those scps needed a buff. In the end that was the nail in the coffin for me

Something that used to be awesome but turned into some cringy weeb shit. Pretty much just a fictional universe where a well funded organization is dedicated to containing other worldly anomalies to study and better understand, typically resulting in containment breaches that have to be dealt with by a special forces unit of sorts. Used to be straight horror, but since it’s lore is made by the fan base, weeaboo faggots invaded and turned it into some anime shit.
