Alright. Religion it is.
So, my whole life I've always been religious.
Not to the point where I would go to church every Sunday, but I was religious. I always thought that religion was the purpose of life. My legacy.
Long story short one day something in me clicked and I realized that I don't want to accomplish something in my life and basically thank the church for my success. I wanted to believe in myself more than god. So I distanced myself from religion and here I am. Happy.

The grandpa story is a bit personal so I'm not gonna share it.

Also, user, when you think about the notion of an eternal soul and an afterlife, it doesn’t make sense. If the soul has anything to do to use, why can I change someone’s personality by removing part of their brain? That’s what did it for me. There’s just this life, and it’s a pretty spectacular oddity.
