there is this one fear I have since a month...it started when I was having a chill evening, covering my pain under a heavy load of weed, when I realized one thing. there are billions of people on this planet, and most of them would not get involved in politics or strikes or demonstrations...except, when the world is so fucked that no government, no organization, nobody can hold it together any longer. and my fear is that people who couldn't care less will eventually get involved in protests, in violence, in riots and revolutions. paradoxically, as a communist, I should get excited about people trying to get their rights. But I have nothing but fear of this situation where the ordinary people, the absolute lumpen will realize that the world is beyond saving. I can see it in front of my eyes, old people who are barely able to walk angrily insulting the government on the streets, a poor mother with three jobs sacrificing her sleep time just to try to get her voice heard...but nobody can hear the people anymore, only a choir of shouting and crying, an orchestra of despair when no guns can hold the masses in their old places.
I truly wish we can save the world before the people realize that there is no hope. I truly wish we can build a new socialism, which is democratic and ecological. I know capitalism is neither and can never be one or the other. But as much as I would like to see this system going down, I am full of fear.

You have no idea what it's like under the commie regime, do you? Take it from somebody who was raised in the Eastern Block. Under that regime you have NO rights. And if the party decides, you can disappear. They won't tell your family anything, you can be in prison, labour camp or dead (most likely the latter).

Your family had upsides and downsides. My family had only downsides. My great grandfather owned a small factory. He was a big supporter of the communist party and was funding them. One day he was called at the police station. His family never saw him again. They were labeled as nazi supporters (which was false). Until 1989 all of the family members had permanent records (including the children). The children weren't allowed to apply to the schools, universities and specialties they wanted. The factory was taken along with all of the lands. A few years ago we found out that my great grandfather was executed the same day he went to that police station. So yeah.. communism is fucking great.

Clearly you have no idea how things work. Yes, he privately owned a factory. But there was also a worker's union which was making sure that all employees had good working environment and were not exploited. However, after the factory was in the hands of the party, things got bad for the employees. Pays were cut, longer working hours, bad working conditions. Eventually the factory closed down. After '89, when the government was supposed to give back the private property to the families that owned it, the factory was sold by the party to "somebody" and we didn't have the rights to it. The same thing happened to every factory in the country. The new owners are either family members of the politicians in the communist party or people that were close to them. And by the way, when they took those factories and lands, they weren't "given to the public". The party members "owned" them. That's what people don't get. The party was stealing from the citizens.
