security doesn't have to be ultra-tight because it's an intranet application and if anyone were to be found cheating or otherwise breaking the application they'd just get fired
just sanitise user inputs and you'll be fine most of the time

Back in highschool I was my IT teachers right-hand man whilst simultaneously being his worst nightmare, so I got to play around with some of the computers.
