I was not raised religious, likely because my parents respected me enough to not force such an important decision on me at a young age. When I encountered the idea of religion for the first time I asked them about it and they directed me to a variety of resources so that I could make an informed choice.

After very careful consideration (a thorough reading of the Bible, large sections of the Quran, most of the Old Testament) I saw absolutely no reason to look further. The so called "grand questions" to which religion was purportedly the answer didn't interest me. I don't believe we have any inherent purpose or meaning. I don't believe there is a guiding force in the universe beyond chance. I don't care what comes "next" if indeed there is anything after (again, the evidence would indicate that there is not.)

In short, I'm not religious because religion has nothing to offer me. It's not an especially important decision to me; it's more like not belonging to a bowling team because I don't care for bowling.

When you get there you'll know for sure...so what's your prophetic guess of what your future there will be like?
