The Jehovah's Witness are absolutely heretics and a step away from Scientology. Problems with dogma include:
- They deny Christ and The Godhead/Trinity. They believe the Christ was a created being, not God.
- The Bible supports Trinity doctrine throughout. To compensate they rewrote it, nearly yearly, they have a "bible" they call the watchtower that is rewritten sometimes twice a year to correct language to says what they want and use it to support their anti Christ message that they try to hide until you are indoctrinated.
- they believe salvation is works based, that only 144,000 humans will ever go to heaven (even though there are more JW then that. Belief and faith in God is not enough.
These heretics are as bad as Mormons
all heathens must die
Who was talking to Jesus during his baptism
John the Baptist aka forerunner (founder of the Baptist Church and first church that was Christ centered.)
According to early versions of Luke it was a divine being who adopted Jesus on "this day."
you don't have their beliefs quite right but it's not worth correcting because it doesn't matter. the part about re writing the Bible is spot on though. these people infested my family with their shit, destroyed my childhood, and did unrepairable damage to my social life and skills. I hate them all with a passion except for my grandmother who I give a pass because she is unintelligent and easy prey for these people. it is nothing more than a cult, they don't even do good works in their community like other religions because they want the world to end as fast as possible to see their warped ideas come to pass. I could go on and on.. stay away stay far far away.
Um, I'm pretty sure anabaptism (from which the Baptists stem) was a 16th century idea...
Anabaptism kinda makes sense tho
Luther would say that because infants have no coherent thought, they are the perfect vessels for baptism. Also it's better to be safe than sorry, and it's not hurting anyone. Also, it's like tradition, I guess. Better to get the death of the body out of the way, so that you can be reborn in Christ.
-Baptised in full immersion
-Christ centric
-humility
-no fancy cathedral
-no idol statues
-no Mary
-no priests, John was the opposite of a pope
-wilderness with hardly any raiment
What says is all incorrect. Ex JW here, learn the doctrines for real yourself and dont listen to dumbasses like this. Learn and come up with your own conclusions.
Ok...
Early Christian orthodoxy condoned and later enforced infant baptism. It wasn't until reform movements in Zurich during the early 16th century do we see a movement of adult baptism. I'm not saying John the Baptist was Catholic, I'm saying he didn't organize the first Christian church.
cult
watch the youtuber telltale
Also, John was a Jew...
And he died before Christ's death and resurrection...
I think that if Jehovah’s witnesses were simplified much more and didn’t have so much negative aura around them they would be okay, people read to far into disfellowshipping and the child abuse stories, like have you ever heard of Christian families shunning homosexual children or catholic priests molesting kids, I think that if people just actually took TIME (this is essential) understand their message and didn’t immediately invalidate their message because of something they heard online there would be much less negativity, now I’m not saying the witnesses aren’t completely at fault, they should make it clear about how the name jehovah came to be, how disfellowhipping works and why, and just really go into simple explanations for all their practices they could eliminate their fault
these people teach parents not to allow their children to associate with any other children that aren't part of their cult. can you imagine what that does to a kid, not allowed to do any kind of social activities, decide who their friends are, they even discourage playing sports. I grew up in that hell with those fucking retards do not defend them
That sucks for you homie but that sounds like parents problem not a religion problem
Aren't they also adamantly against life saving blood transfusions?
And birthdays?
And Halloween (the best holiday imho)?
And gay people?
I don't know a ton about this particular sect of xtianity, but I have had two pairs of witnesses come to my door over the years. Both times they seemed really well versed about all of the things concerning why I should be JW, but when challenged with scripture they told me I must be wrong. When I grabbed my Bible and showed them the passages that contradicted the things they said, both pairs quickly disengaged and left.
Heretics. Period.
everything you said is correct. not even Christmas is acceptable
They must be stopped. Dues vault!
I eat my own poop.
I’m not defending, The enjoyment of the religious must rely souly on how your parents grow you up in it and how fanatical they are
>they want the world to end as fast as possible
shit, sign me up
