No nuclear, destroy the economy. If you want to save the species, start dropping bio weapons onto the african subcontinent and parts of the middle east. Reduce the global population by a billion while freeing up the resources currently trapped there. Take the money wasted on the UN and pump it into constructing nuclear fission plants and researching fusion.
