Hey Yea Forums, I got a question for potfags. I bought my first piece yesterday (a bubbler) and honestly have no clue how the fuck it works. I know how to smoke out of it, but can't understand how it will can make contact with water. Also, what the fuck is the yellow liquid? My friends thought it was THC oil, but the guy who I got it from didn't say anything about that. He said something about putting it in the freezer for no more then 30 seconds, but he was speaking derka derka. I can post more pics if needed.

I have no idea what that yellow liquid is, but typically the smoke has to pass through a water chamber before it goes up the spout and into your mouth. If full of water it should make a bubbling noise, thus the name bubbler.

If you inhane through it, does it make any bubbling noises?

then it's likely that the yellow shit is just some kind of aesthetic. Just put a small amount of water in it so it bubbles when you inhale, pack the bowl and smoke. If you get water in your mouth, you put too much water in there. It takes less than you think.

This is correct. Put the pipe in the freezer for a short time and that yellow shit should freeze up, which will cool the smoke as you inhale.

Yeah I think it could be aesthetic too. You might be right since now that I look closely at the liquid there's some glitter in there.

Hopefully that's just water with food coloring in it to make it look cool. Dump that shit out, and rinse it out with rubbing alcohol or nail polish remover and then hot water. Fill it back up with cold water and enjoy. Don't listen to what anyone says about it making it safer to smoke than a dry piece or a joint, all the water does is cool the smoke off so it's not as harsh

Its a liquid inside the glass that you put in the fridge or freezer and it cools the smoke as it goes by it

It's really simple, but it isn't a bubbler. Instead of putting water into a chamber, there's water (or in this case some kind of piss) stuck inbetween two layers of glass that you cool in the fridge or freezer before smoking. It keeps the whole thing cool so it cools the smoke as you inhale.

Put it in your freezer for 5 minutes, take it out, load the bowl and enjoy.

Water filtered is usually better but bubbles are kind of scammy. Much better the get a bong or not even hassle with the water and use a spoon pipe

If it has a container for the water underneath like pic related then yes you can, but if it doesn't have that, I wouldn't recommend it. It sounds like the guy who sold that to you didn't have any idea wtf they were talking about.

I'm a joint smoker myself, so I prefer that to any kind of glass, but the cooling effect from a chilly pipe is pretty weak in comparison to cold water in a bubbler. Passing the smoke through water is much more effective. Even more so if your rig has an ice catcher, then you'll get the best of both worlds.

I typically smoke from a bong or bubbler and have never even heard of a piece like that with glcyerin in it. So unfortunately for OP it sounds like someone sold him a gimmicky and probably overpriced spoon pipe. Thanks for the info, user.
