Anybody here a professional Blackjack player?

Anybody here a professional Blackjack player?

I tried it last year and did pretty well for a few months, but then got hit hard and almost went bankrupt.
Now I'm under the impression that card-counting is just a big scam by the casinos to get people into the building.

All stories and thoughts on card-counting, ace-tracking, shuffle-sorting, or cheating of any kind in the game of blackjack welcome.
Also, does anybody recommend a good forum that doesn't jew you or promote disinfo on counting cards?

I find it useful if after you say hit me you shove all your chips up your asshole

Just play Craps.

difficult to make real money without working with a team and if you do that it will become obvious to the casino what you’re doing. how big was your bankroll btw

My bankroll was sizeable and definitely enough to cover the swings.
The problem with team play is that you gotta worry about the abilities and the ethics of other players. Not to mention the losing swings and having to divvy up the profits between the players when you do win.
I'd say the only reason to work on a team is because you don't have the bankroll to go at it by yourself.
I also learned over the course of time that I played blackjack professionally--was that casinos don't care whether you're counting cards. It's a myth that they give a shit, and part of the allure to get people gambling.

Online pkr was good especially if you could get a friend at a 6 player turbo table

Single deck so obviously the most usless person could make an educated guess

But now its full of russians and spanish players

>hurr durr I count numbers duhhhhhh hurrr durrrrrrrrrr

Neck yourself.

go ask your mommy for some money

I don't understand it and don't gamble much but here's a sheet that might help you.

A lot of the basic strategy cards are different or just blatantly wrong.
Honestly, as I stated in the OP, I think counting cards is just a scam to get people into the casinos.

the biggest problem with strategy cards is that the strategy changes depending on how many decks are used
1 deck takes into account the number of 10s and aces showing
3 deck has more double and split options
6+ deck should never be played as it has a worse payout than slot machines

6 decks can be good if you can find the clumping.

>if you can find the clumping

best case scenario the table is full and your holding out to bet big on 1 out of the 24 hands played between shuffles
again, worse payout than slot machines

I've done that before, the players get pissed.
I prefer sitting at a 5 dollar 6 deck by myself and playing 3 hands.

If I had to choose an ideal table, it would be a hand-shuffle double deck with mid-entry and loose rules.
I like to jump in out with 1-3 hands, depending on the count.

>gambling with the intention to make money

Aight here's how you do it.

Step one: go to a slightly seedy cosino. Doesn't have to be some Chinese thing out of a shitty spy movie, just somewhere cheap and small enough that they actually trust the dealers to make choices and not follow a scripted sequence.

Step two: wait until some stupid or rich (preferably both) motherfucker starts playing blackjack.

Step three: bet a considerably smaller amount, playing slightly safer than basic strategy would usually suggest.

What happens is you'll often get into a situation whereby you are on a relatively low number (say 14 for this example) and the stupid rich motherfucker is on a higher one (say 19), and the dealer is inbetween (like 15). The dealer can choose to stick, in which case they lose the larger sum of money, or hit, which is the rational choice. They will often go bust chasing the higher amount, and this is when the strategy pays off.

It works because on average the casino will still win, you're essentially just taking money from the rich guy without him even realising.

are you fucking insane? what a stupid fucking nigger.

counting cards does work

Fucking castrate yourself

Not true

you think you're the first idiot to try that?
you have a room temperature IQ, buddy.

counting cards works in the present, but not long-term.

Card counting doesn't work well at all if the casino uses multiple decks that are frequently shuffled.

>No you

Seriously, you are a stupid fuck.

Already being stated in the thread.

The another big problem is the amount of people playing.

shuffling doesn't necessarily have anything to do with it, unless you're shuffle tracking.
Penetration is what matters.

I wholeheartedly agree that other players can influence the play on a table. A lot of players don't agree though.

Well, that's because of cognitive dissonance and psychological self justification for their gambling addiction.

If you have a system to win in any gambling game, maybe, it will grant you more wins.

But in the long term the house will win... unless you are a stupid fuck which would eventually make the casino bankrupt.

You gotta be fucking stupid to think you can earn a living from gambling or to fail at such a stupidly easy bussiness.

I wasn’t seriously disagreeing with you. I just like to refute random posts with “not true”. I get some amusing responses.

Man, I used to see those fucks in there day after day.
There was one girl, kind of cute, but she was in her 30s and had 2 kids.
She was in there almost everyday, gambling, and losing.
She just couldn't understand that it was killing her.

If I had a dollar every time some ploppy boomer said "there's no skill involved, it's just gambling." I'd be richer than the casino now.

I wasn't even the guy you were replying to :^)
