What is socialism?
What is socialism?
Doesn’t the U.S get the bill for Norway’s defense?
What Norway's defense?
>trying to use Norway as a model for US socialism.
Libtards are funny.
The absolute trust and dependence on government
No
An economic system that socializes goods and services by providing them via public funding, versus capitalism which privatizes them through individual wealth and investment. The post office is a socialist system, UPS is a capitalist one.
We're supposed to model the US government after a country that has less population than New York City?
Why not? You already modelled it after the Native American govenments
We did? When?
A shitty political ideology that shouldn’t be allowed.
U.S. Military
1754, when Benji Franklin seriously petitioned America to adopt the Iroquois constitution or similar
Its what we use to be social OwO

Whoo!...think was him!?
If McDonalds can sell a burger for a profit, why would selling 1000 of them make a difference? Taxes and services are proportional aren't they?
Doesn't mean it was completely modeled after it, but I see your point.
That's a rather simplistic way of looking at it.
Obviously it was not a 1:1 adaptation, but it was significant enough that the senate passed a bill acknowledging the Iroquois contribution to early American governing in 1987
Several articles of the constitution are basically borrowed as-is from the Iroquois
To be fair though, US military is pretty socialist
>What is socialism?
A failed political and economic doctrine that still persists because it appeals to the unintelligent by exploiting their inborn altruism, feelings, and sympathy, aka the vast majority of Democrats.
Socialism is when a mommy and a daddy love each other very much.
The daddy puts his peepee into the mommy and that creates socialism.
At it's heart socialism is the idea that the means of production, distribution and trade should be publicly owned or regulated.
There are multiple types of socialism and varying degrees of extremity. It differs from communism in that your "earnings" from the system are meant to be proportional to your contribution, i.e. "the harder you work, the better off you'll be" where as communism you get out what you need, regardless of how much you put in. The 2 are similar but also different.
The biggest difference is that communism generally is completely against the idea of private ownership entirely. Socialism can exist alongside it.
I can't wait to call her President Pelosi
Every faggot who thinks they know what they're talking about in here is going to talk about how socialism always fails.
Socialism has never been properly implemented, its selling point is supposed to be "We will share our money and everyone will be taken care of!!" Yet every socialist country has been a corrupt government that takes the money for themselves and their friends/family.
In the same way that Capitalism is a failed system with a selling point that "A open free market keeps prices low and competitive!!!" Yet that's bullshit because competition barely exists. Large companies agree on a price they can all make money, or buy out any competition so that they can keep their prices the way they are.
All systems are failures when faggot humans are involved.
The US constitution is heavily influenced on the Native American government that had been set up before the Europeans came.
