I used to be skinny and kinda fit as a teen, and then gained a fuckton of weight in a relatively short period of time. I hate it so much. I'm currently at 340ish but i've lost 20lbs in the past month. I started doing intermittent fasting and light exercise such as walking as well as all around diet control.

My current regimen is 2 days fasting, using only water or a diet shake to balance blood sugars so i intake less than 200 calories on a fasting day. I then have two days of around 1600 calories with moderation on fats and carbs (note i dont completely cut it out). That pattern continues.

Thankfully, I'm an online college student living in the country right now so i have nothing but time on my hands. I walk 2 miles a day outside when it isn't a blizzard and do 4 miles on the treadmill. I go swimming 3 times a week for two hours a day alternating between 15 minutes of lap swim followed by 45 minutes of free swim and i do that twice.

I'm not looking to get ripped or anything, so I figure cardio workouts will work best for me. Once spring hits in full swing, I hope to be down to 325 or so. I'll be swimming every day and hiking instead of simple walking. Bicycling too, but probably not til i hit 250.

Once I get back down around 200 I intend to take HEMA back up with my buddies. I'm the one that got us into it and I'm pissed that I got so fat.

I do have a workout routine given to me by my brother who is in excellent physical condition and a nurse to boot, but he warned me not to get to heavily into it until i'm lower in weight because of strain on the joints.

Don't do cardio all the time; your body will get used to it.
Do HIIT training twice a week, on a Wednesday and Saturday.
Walk for a half hour as a substitute for hiit after a few weeks so as not to get used to it.
Here's an example for a hiit workout:
Run the fastest you can for 20 seconds, then rest for 40 seconds, repeat for 5 sets.
After you get used to it just go up 10 seconds.

Eat 1500 calories a day and do atleast 30 minutes or cadio a day aka jog 2 miles. It isnt easy at first but it is doable. (Start early in the morning that way you got the rest of the day to not worrie about it)
