Anyone know a flight school that will pay for your education.
Anyone know a flight school that will pay for your education
Air Farce?
No ficking army.
Try to get a job at an FBO, they'll usually trade lessons.
FBO? Also 17 if that matters?
Why would a school pay for the training they give you? Think about wht you're asking.
Underage...
In exchange you work for them because from what people tell me is that there is a shortage.
No, that's how it works. Here's your path if you embark on this journey. You pay for flight school either up front or you take on debt to get your ratings. From there, yes, your first job will be flight instructing and there's probably a good chance it'll be for the school you trained with. You'll earn complete dick (srsly like 20k max) for one or two years while you build the necessary 1200-1500 hours before the regionals will even look at your resume. Then your first few years with the regionals will continue to pay dick. Don't believe what you hear about the pilot shortage. The signing bonuses have gone up, but you're still not competitive at the airlines without a college degree, so add that cost to the tab and get it done first. No schools are hurting for CFI's. No schools will pay to train you.
Pilot user here. No flight school will pay for your education unless you go into the armed forced (Airforce, Navy, or Marines) and even then you have to have a 4 year degree and be commissioned as an officer. You can go to your local FBO or airports around you and see if theres any flight schools. AOPA and other organizations offer quite a few scholarships to help pay for it. You could also go the colligate aviation route in which I am doing. Theres tons of great schools around the nation that offer flight degrees such as University of North Dakota, Western Michigan University, or Purdue University. If money is tight I highly recommend you stay away from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Theres countless scholorships offered for colligate aviation students so you can save tons of money. But if you don’t want to spend anything, militarily is your best option.
17 is the age you can get your private pilots license. I got mine at 17
Thank user for the advice. I am currently enrolled in college for an IT degree.
mil pilot here. user is right, what he said.
no easy option unfortunately. you either sell your soul going into massive debt you won't be able to repay, or you sell your soul doing a desk job in the military after you find out they lied to you about being a pilot.
if i could do it all over again I'd learn how to make money instead, and do whatever it took to retire young. currently 29 and 5 more years left to serve and i'm learning the hard way
I have no money broke college kid.
Thx also for the advice.
Not to brag, but if we're sharing info I got mine when I was 16 so just so user knows 17 is not 'the' age. Pretty sure you can get it younger.
So in reality stick to my IT degree till I can afford to just get a private pilot license and fly for fun.
Yeah I live in Wisco. You can get it at 16 here from what I know.
even better is to find ways to receive passive income until you reach the point you don't have to work anymore.
not selling anything here, but however you want to make it work, through starting your own business, company, investments, whatever.
I'm reading every book on money and economics I can get my hands on at the moment, learning all I can about gold and real estate, basically getting my own master's degree in 'money' because I sure as shit don't want to be the military's slave for the next 15 years. Wouldn't be bad if i were a pilot, but all i fly is a desk.
The minimum age for a private pilot certificate in the United States is 16 for balloons and gliders, and 17 for powered flight (airplanes, helicopters, and gyroplanes). Pilots can begin training at any age and can SOLO balloons and gliders from age 14, and powered aircraft from age 16.
Yeah I have also started listening to videos about real estate and investing money. The only problem is they say oh just find $10000 somewhere buy a house flip it. Profit. Like where do I get 10k from. I work a slave cuck job.
nice, good stats. didn't know the specifics on all that.
perhaps I am mis-remembering my own PPL. I was flying while getting my license, but perhaps my own PPL didn't come till later. it has been over 10 years now.
No, you’re supposed to be 18+ to post on Yea Forums
>The only problem is they say oh just find $10000 somewhere buy a house flip it.
You're missing the fundamental point: real investors don't use their money, they use other people's money to invest. Lending is perhaps more important than investing itself, though if you don't know what you're doing it could get you into a lot of trouble really fast. But if you have all the skill and can't find lending you're also up shit creek.
Having said all that, while I understand it in theory, I'm nowhere close to being able to implement it myself. The more investment games I play though, the more I see the power in using other people's money to invest and make me rich, the more money I keep in my account, the better.
Did you see the video of that UK cuck going from $100 to like 10k in a week. I get what youre saying use other peoples money but if you fuck up youre fucked for life. Unless you do what drug dealers do and just keep borrowing from other dealers to pay other dealers.
>youre fucked for life.
Nah dude, far from it. Don't let fear rule you.
You'll only ruin the relationship with that investor, and chances are they won't put their money with you unless they know they can trust you anyway. Now if you do something stupid and use family money, you may fuck your relationships, but you are far from fucked.
Look up Robert kiyosaki or however you spell his last name. Dude started his own company, wife divorced him, company went under, and he became single and unemployed AND a million dollars in debt. Dude now makes more in a day than most of us make our whole lives.
You're far, far from fucked. Remember, Michael Jordan has missed more game winning shots than most of us will ever take. Losing and failing is how you learn, you need to rewire your brain. Again, not like I have it down pat either, something I still need a lot of work on.
So really why wouldnt I be a con man and move from town to town asking ppl to gimme money. Then ditch.
Straya is better. As soon as I get 250 multi I can get into airlines
PPL
COMMERCIAL
SPORT LICENSE
Straya?
Because you would make infinitely more learning how to flip houses the right way.
Once people knew you were a sure deal, they'd knock down your door trying to give you their money to invest.
I've got like, $100k just sitting in my bank account right now. I'm a dumb fuck, I've no idea how to invest it. Sure, you could scam me for some of it, but there's a lot more people like me than you think with extra cash and no knowledge of how to invest it.
You screw me once, congrats, that's all you get. You do right by me, now all my friends know and they're throwing money at you and you can't do deals fast enough.
Just using plain logic here user.
The country
I listened to that guys podcast a couple of times. They all say the same vauge thing. I get what they are saying put have no clue how to implement into my life. I want to break the cycle of being a wage slave but I dont have any inkling of what I would do the day I quit.
Ill train u
80 bucks an hour fuel included.
no groundschool
Yeah I guess more positive connections means more positive bank account.
FR??!!?!??!?? “Mom Im quiting” Thank you kind sir. Where do you wanna meet up?
I listen to his podcast too and completely agree. He is heavy on inspiration, light on the technicalities.
I'll be honest with you man, there are a lot of real estate gurus out there. You've honestly got to do your homework, vet the shit out of them to the best of your ability, and take a chance on someone or something, some program, that will teach you what you need to know.
Absolute bottom of the barrel would be go to a real estate investors meeting in your area, if that's your thing
I just feel its hard being my age also I mean would you trust a 17Y/O with 15% of your bank account?
Anyone who listens to this pyramid scheme bullshit deserves what they get
But why is it always real estate why is real estate always such a thing that is a way to generate income?
You could read about Sam Zell. Dude started a business he had no business starting and no experience with managing an entire apartment complex for this company.
Also, as a 29 year old dude who just discovered all this real estate shit like a year ago, I'm extremely jealous of you. Ten years of hard work can literally put you over the moon. I could have retired at 25, no doubt in my mind, had anyone told me all this shit when I was younger. I was always hungry, but I don't have a business bone in my body, no idea what I was supposed to be doing until about a year ago. You have an advantage to being so young.
I appreciate that.
When the coming financial collapse happens, and I somehow manage to profit off of it one way or another, I'll remember what you said, that I deserve every penny. I won't cast a second glance at anyone who's broke.
Whatever you say, genius
Thanks. Yeah I was raised in a house where you work hard early so you dont have to work when youre older.
because owning real estate is relatively low work. you can hire a property manager to do just about everything.
if a rental cost you $100 a month to maintain and keep a tenant, how many could you own? 1? 2? 4? It'd be money out of your pocket, but someone else would be building you equity, pretty sweet right?
now what if, after you paid taxes, repairs, mortgage, more repairs, etc...the property put $100 a month into your pocket, how many could you afford to own then? as many as you could possibly purchase.
Appreciation, depreciation, leverage....there are all sorts of reasons more people have become wealthy through real estate than any other investment in this country. do your homework son
no genius here, just a hard worker who's determined to escape the rat race.
You got it right almost there only one more symbol away oh wait they stopped their program ;,)
Thx user for all the advice. And hey Im still young so if I do get in early. Ill still have plenty of time to live my young live.
Now all I need is investors.
OP still are trailers a worthwhile investment or stick to houses and apartments.
