Life expectancy is going up, average income is on the rise, poverty is steadily decreasing, famines are less and less common, access to basic needs is becoming more common, and major conflicts and wars are seemingly a thing of the past (sources below). This has all happened under the “reign” of capitalism. It’s works- it works better than any other system tried so far. These "screwed" people often only have themselves to blame. I would venture than 90% of them are in their current situation due to their own bad choices. In the other 10% of circumstances greed, selfishness, cruelty, and love of power is too blame. And no matter what economic system we go by those traits will ALWAYS exist.
Also there is no "true" capitalism. Most of the world is more capitalist than anything else but it's all a mix of socialism and capitalism. No matter if it's Sweden or the US- neither of us are truly capitalist or socialist, so if capitalism is "screwing" people socialism is too.

Im from Poland. Older ppl was living when socialism was here. But they dont think that's was so bad bc they were young and you know childhood for most of us was a happy time. But i see what socialism did to this country, now all in this country is broken. Mentally of old ppl is weird. They're so closed minded.
