Divinity Original Sin 2 was the nuts if you like the genre.

Mario 64 might be the best game, though, between the intuitive rules (everyone understands run and jump) and mastery driven progression.

In terms of nostalgia and the most enjoyable game I played? LOZ: link to the past. In terms of best production, best story line and character development, I'd probably have to say either the last of us or rdr2. It's going to be different too, depending in what type of game also. My favourite shooter is battlefield bad company 2 or Maybe BF4. My favourite racing game is probably DIRT rally or Forza Motorsports 7. Best platformer is easily megaman 3. Best horror was RE:2 because it's the only horror game that's actually ever scared me to play, granted I was a little kid when it came out. Best co-op and battle arena is easily Halo 3. I can't say it's the best MMO, but the one I found most enjoyable and relaxing to play was MapleStory. I know I'll take flak for that. Best fantasy game is between fable and LOZ: Majora's mask. Best hack and slash is probably god of war 2. Best game to end friendships is golden eye for N64 and then playing odd-job. There are so many great games. I could probably only compile a top 10 for each genre.

Phantom pain and ground zeros (and to an extent peace walker) are not metal gear games so they dont exist.

Most common example being Modern Warfare 2, most kids got it and loved it, but really it was a broken mess. If you do buy a SNES Classic, I do recommend also buying some controller extension cords. The default cord is only five feet. That's better than the NES Classic, which was only like four feet, but it's still a tad short for my TB setup.

I always hear people crying about opponents picking Oddjob. But we never had that problem when we were kids. All my friends and my brother knew Oddjob was bullshit. It was all a mutual agreement that Oddjob isn't even an option. And when I'd play GE with a new person for the first time, they already had the same opinion as us that Oddjob might as well not even be in the game. He's one of the cheapest things in any competitive game ever made, and no player with any self-respect would even ask if Oddjob was allowed.

Also, people always forget that there was actually two cheap short players in GE. There was Obbjob, and there was another unlockable character who was only a couple pixels taller than Oddjob. IIRC, it was a female scientist, but I could wrong about that. But either way, there was two of those little fucks.

No. It can't do run-ahead or shaders necessary for some games to look right. The included filters are worthless.

If you don't want to mess with emulators, get the actual console and flash cart, and a good slot mask CRT. Dumb nerds like to jerk off over aperture grilles, but those lost their advantage pretty quick. There's good reason so many play with computationally expensive slot mask shaders.

This may not be everyone's choice but classic Halo 2 was probably the best game I ever played or at least the best experience I had with a multiplayer game.

The single player alone was fantastic but when I was 12 I got xbox live and spent almost every weekend playing big team battle and custom games like zombies, cat n mouse, hide n seek, el presidente, and so on.

I remember my first online match ever being a 8 player FFA shotguns only on midship and actually winning.

This series 1-3 was amazing and the prequels and side games were awesome too.

However I thought Halo 4 was a bit of a let down yet still a good game while Halo 5 just felt generic with a poor story.

Here's hoping Halo 6 feels like Halo again.

They allowed you to edit the wrestlers- so if they got a haircut you could change it. You could even take the mask off Kane. (At 2:30 in the video you can see this guy edited Kurt Angle and Undertaker to their modern look (Kurt is bald, Taker mohawk)

I'm old and haven't played real games in years; however - in no partcular order:

Wolfenstein - the "3d" was amazing at the time
Dune - nothing like using your deviator to turn a harkkonen tank and press the self destruct button
Doom - LAN play with mates. Good times!
Warcraft (orcs and humans) as above. Could run on any rig, so it was often the go to game.
Half-life - the atmosphere and the AI. Great game!
Max Payne - bullet time and a great, dark story.

oh, and the lost vikings was really great - not much into platform games, but this was ace
