Miles long boulevard with multiple through connections (not intersections) most posted with no U-turn signs. About every 4rth or 5th not posted. Street is empty except for cop so far away can't even tell its a squad. Make a U-turn where its not posted. Get ticket from cop. because I should know U-turns at intersections are illegal. A) not intersection, B) if this generally known why U-turn signs and why no signs at some locations? Take to court. Judge says, " did you make a turn there?" I say yes but.. " Guilty. Next. Meanwhile I've literally seen Chicago cops do a hit and run and steal change from dashboards.

No, there’s not. Several year back I got a speeding ticket, for which I paid the fine and drove around with the receipt in my glovebox. Get pulled over a year later by some sergeant who runs my license and it came back suspended for not paying the speeding fine. So I show him the receipt from having paid the fine. He looks at me and says, that’s nice. Take it up with the DMV. Then he says, but I’ll do you a favor by not arresting you. Then he has my car impounded and cuts my license in half with scissors in front of me. So I pay a total of $200, 175 to get my car out of impound. 10 for a new license, plus 15 to have them unsuspend my license....all over a clerical error.

I knew an ex cop (20 years on the force mind 60s - 80s) who told me stories of fucking like this with people for shots and giggles. Once, when drivers licenses were still thick paper, he pulled over a guy he knew and disliked who was on parole just to fuck with him. When he produced his license, the cop ate it then arrested him for driving without a license, thus sending him back to prison. A real prince.

Except a cop can litteraly pull anyone over if he follows them for 10 mins, there’s so many asinine laws know, both signaling too soon and too late are both crimes, and it’s completly discretionary. Last Christmas, I took my wife to the local shopping mall, the old school type where ALL the stores and buildings are connected. So I'm waiting for her to come out of Penney's, just watching the parking lot and I notice some cop is pulling over every car that slowly rolls through the stop sign on the mall's outer parking lot road. Not another car anywhere around, NO safety compromise AT ALL, but he wrote like 20 tix in 45 mins or so.
