Long story short a bartender from New York caused an upset for their district's race for the house of representatives by beating the incumbent Democrat, specifically by running on a campaign of Democratic socialism. Like many nuwave Dems, she's pretty much sticking to Bernie policies. The right wing is livid with her, some of it is probably just legitimate vehement disagreement with her policy proposals, however a lot of it feels rooted in the sexist tendencies of the conservative world. She's probably the only politician right now with so many memed out false quotes, trying hard to fearmonger about what she might do with power.

AOC was hardly the deciding or even an influential factor in amazons hunt for an HQ, especially the part where they pulled out of NY. She certainly celebrated that, but the Dems in disarray narrative now is as stale as it was when we were pretending going into bid announcement season and the breadth of the field was a non issue.
A better example you should have brought up is the backdoor meetings that happened around supporting Pelosi for speaker. AOC, Tlaib and the other two of the Fab four nuwavers were insisting they get committee chairs on some powerful committees, a ballsy move for an incoming freshman class. Pelosi has long had a system of rewarding loyalty to the party through these committee awards so they very well were stepping on some toes there. However, both oldguard leadership and nuwave Dems understand the true goal and how to work toward it together: 2020. I don't think the notion that AOC has made enemies of the Democratic leadership beyond maybe upsetting a safe house seat holds any water

She already was elected. Whether she's a communist depends on your definition of communism. The best approximation of her stances through semantics are Democratic socialist. What you can expect out of her is pushing the Democratic party to the left by advocating for Medicare expansions, legislative mandated transitions into renewable energy, and doing so in a way that creates jobs. Oh, and raising taxes on the rich. Like a young Latina Sanders.
