rs3 is trash. Quit that shit years ago. I'd play osrs if I didn't have to waste my life regrinding

OSRS as they're actually listening to and updating based off of what their community wants.
95% of the time it seems
RS3 team is just beating a dead horse.

What has become RS3 has died for far too many reasons and far too many times.

>Wild & Free Trade Removal
>Micro-Transactions
>EoC

I started in 2004 and tried to stick with RS3, but it's over man. Game over.

eoc isn't horrible by itself. It's the mtx that has truly ruined the game

Didn’t they add micro transactions to osrs, too, such as treasure hunter?

No, but it's only a matter of time

If you know what you're doing and have the free time, or even actually want to play, it's not too rough.

The grind is only harsh when you don't know any good techniques. Also helps to have a second monitor/screen/thing to do while you play in the background.

EoC completely ruined the balance of combat in every aspect and it took them months if not years to get it to what it is now.

The only item you can buy are bonds, we have to hope they keep away from that and stick to community/polls to drive updates, as they require 75% to pass.

What are bonds?

An item that can be purchased for $ and then sold in game for gold that gives memership

Do you get it from treasure hunter? Is thee a treasure hunter in osrs?

They're items that can be traded between players and redeemed for 14 days of membership (more if you have more bonds)

They cost something like $7 I think and are currently sell for about 3m in game. So if you have the spare gp you can literally buy 24 bonds and get a year of membership just by playing the game.

>OSRS gp > RS3
Self-explanatory

What a dumb thing to say honestly

I played osrs for a while when it came out because i hated rs3. Then i quit because i saw that they were quickly ruining osrs. My little bro got me to play for another 6 months or something then i quit again. It's going to suffer the same fate as osrs. Also no one plays for fun anymore. It's all about grinding xp or bossing or pvp. Anything that isn't best xp/hour is dead content...

osrs has become about what i would have wanted for pre-summoning runescape and its really not dead, maybe some minigames

No treasure hunter in OSRS, Bonds are bought through the Runescape site and are sold ingame for gp. It's actually a good system, because it seriously limits the scope of real-world trading by setting a maximum limit on what gp is worth irl.

I was reading quest guides for osrs and it said that the rewards included treasure hunter points

no, there's not any treasure hunter in osrs

whatever guides you were looking at were either rs3 or just plain wrong

I wonder why the site said that, then

what site was it?

What drives you to play either of these though, played RS a bit before I got into wow around tbc and with the limited memory and knowledge of the game I don't really see what drives people to grind so much

I tried to find it but couldn’t. Maybe if you do the quests on your osrs character the treasure hunter points transfer to rs3. Possibility?

Or maybe there is a treasure hunter on osrs that is just used for bonds?

While it may not seem like it on the outside, It's a very social game and that can help greatly with the grind-like gameplay.

It's also got an insane amount of open ended and accessible content for a f2p game.

While a fair bit of the quest and npc dialog/writing is silly, the good majority of it is actually quite interesting and entertaining if you're into that sort of thing.

I suppose that's possible, but I seriously doubt it. I'm only playing OSRS these days so I can't say for sure.

I can confirm that at this time there is not a single thing in OSRS that is or mimics Treasure Hunter from RS3.
