Honestly I just like her with the concept of incest in general. She's obsessed with perfection, and she'd therefore refuse to have children with anyone she views as truly inferior, so that leaves nobility and royalty. Add in the forbidden nature (and her nature to do things to spite "forbidden"), and a readily available source, and Zuko makes for an excellent concubine. I suspect Mai's brother will be a source when he gets older too.

The hotter the flame, the more energy (heat) it has. Since blue light is more energetic than red light it stands to reason that the light emitted by a hotter flame would be more blueish. I have a butane lighter and a butane torch; though they consume the same fuel the torch is much hotter and burns blue (as it burns MORE fuel), whereas the lazy flame of the lighter is red.
My logic is probably bullshit though. I know that burning different chemicals can yield different colors of flame, but beyond that I'm not sure about anything.
