90% of the story telling in wrestling happens in the ring fuckwit. Just as a recent example look at kofi's run for the belt, people liked it because it was a story told mostly in the ring and not just fucking promos. Or as an older example the whole mankind winning the title, SCSA didn't come out and cut a promo he dashed Rock with a chair and threw under mankind. Thats a story told IN THE RING. If "based" russo ran shit matches would be bog standard 10 minute affairs with 50:50 booking and all the story would be told through fucking promos and shit.

LMAO. When Russo used to write there was actually much more shit than just promos in middle of the ring. You had stuff outside of the arena, parking lot, backstage, boiler room, peoples houses etc. It was written like soap opera.
