Bray Wyatt's evil Mr. Rogers/Blues Clues gimmick was the most fresh thing to come out of WWE until The Fiend bullshit came through and I knew this gimmick was going to die.
It is now over-produced, and The Fiend makes Bray look like a ridiculous tryhard. I don't understand why he needs the mask and striped parachute pants. He is demented as he is.
This can't work and won't work. Consider this: Bray is still one of the worst wrestlers on the roster. The less he wrestles the better. How can WWE expect Bray to compete in a 30 min match (and they will try). SEFF can't carry him. The mask takes away his biggest strong point in the ring, which are his facial expressions and emoting. Not to mention it is probably 100 degrees under that slipknot mask.
Bray is also too small for the fiend part of the gimmick. You will never convince me The Fiend could murder Kane in the most jacked-up prime of his career. If anything, he is just some husky juggalo.
Its sad because I know WWE will kill this gimmick dead. The moment the Fiend was on screen, I knew this gimmick was going to die. Unless Bray does something like brutally assault Becky Lynch Antonio Brown-style in front of an handcuffed SEFF. I can't see this going anywhere.

The gimmick is all Brays idea Bray isn't even that bad in the ring, you have to realize that Vince only allows a handful of guys to be good and the rest he has choreographed to the point where he often is yelling in the refs ear to do what he wants. The pants are great He's not too small, he's actually jacked now and had a big frame. 6'3" fridge All American honors and football scholorship. Dropped out of college to be a pro wrestler. I agree they're fucking the gimmick up, but they're pulling the trigger early instead of having Bray meander with the same promos again.. which is I think a good idea. I think there's a good chance he wins the belt because Becky is all over the Smack promos. I think they can milk the gimmick for a bit more if he is a spookmaster champ with a limited schedule.
Keep them sub 15, LOTS of squashes and have him keep a belt hostage for a year.

Bray is one of the best promo cutters, talkers and idea guys in the back but if this is really his idea, someone in the back needs to filter out some of this crap.

He's the most exciting thing happening in WWE right now. Like most others I was hoping he would flatten all his opponents for a few months before winning the title around January so that he would end up facing Daniel Bryan or Finn Balor at Wrestlemania, but it looks like they've decided to rush things and make him champion. Which isn't that bad of a thing really, I don't trust Vince to keep him hot all the way through to April, so strike while the iron is hot.
