She's the worst big name joshi if all time. She's a terrible worker who, at best does individual moves with no narrative structure. She's not even particularly attractive. I never watch her shit, but what killed her for me was the cosplay shit. I have seen her at events in person, and the fact that she is supposed to be a 'star' but her cosplay is so shit, she doesn't look good, she doesn't work hard enough to make it look good, even her sign was usually torn cardboard or some shit, and she is getting absolutely outshined by girls who do it as a hobby, and even the little ten year olds who go cosplay while their mom or dad supervises look better than her. She just seems so small-time and mediocre from shit like that.

I haven't seen a match I would say is great, if you have any recc. I will check it out. As for looking like a star, no, they aren't presented on the level of a star at all. They are below Indie or Local Idols in terms of that. As I said, the girl gets shown up by at least 100 other girls in a cosplay area, and those cosplay girls are almost all hobbyists and non-professionals. Her look in the OP pic is decent, but outside of that her presentation to the public is bingo hall league.
I'm the actual guy you were replying to, I don't really see any stars right now, Mayu has what I would say is an 'Indie Hero' look, and she might be the top one right now in terms of actually being presented as a top level performer and like a real wrestler. Oedo Tai had something with the overall idea and entrance and what-not but the actual crew was at least half consisting of people you know would never be a really big star. Asuka's initial NXT WWE run was great presentation and build wise, after her WM loss it was over though. Kairi and Io total waste.
And don't get me wrong, not everybody has to be a star, nothing wrong with midcards and jobbers, but you need at least a few who are at a top level in terms of presentation, performance, charisma, etc... And I'm not seeing it.

I don't keep a list of that shit. I'm agreeing with you, I think. Those two are incredible likeable and talented and they have distinct looks but they don't have the central, conventional star look for the division. I think Shida was supposed to be that, which is really funny. I don't think they need to have one, especially in this day and age. I'd like them to grab Saree if they want a face of the division, though.
