[s4s] is a dreamworld fantasy version of what takes place on Yea Forums, where only the structure that defines each board's social dynamics continues to exist, but the themes and sub-topics are taken away, all to expose only the inner-workings and forces that make this place actually exist. The succinctness and encapsulation of this presence makes s4s the be all end all of off-topic boards, but also poses the same threats to one's sanity and health that each and every other board, essentially making it no different than the rest. What I'd like to highlight or make clear, however, is that as factory workers, we don't get to understand what we're creating, or how these memes and jokes fit in to the model structure of Yea Forums that I'm talking about.
Consider evil/nice beary for instance. Neither exudes form or does anything interesting, but that is because it is only the semblance of their interaction that's going on. They are a duality, but not just any duality, the constant dualism between the one advocating for you to stay on Yea Forums for the remainder of your life and the other that is poking and prodding away at your sense of being heard. The one wants you to believe there are people out there who are hanging on to your every last word, that people understand what you are saying, no matter how cryptic and the other wants you to recognize your objective value in this broader society of ours (which wants you to believe is zilch), and together they make up the all mighty and all stupid tactic that keeps you are.
Let us examine any other meme that takes place you and you will find an ancient phenomena that has taken place forever. We are in the inner-workings, the cogs of the machine.
