I do wonder why it gets so little viewership and support though.
With the amount of support for AEW (the smark promotion), you'd think they'd also be viewers of 205 live since it's the workrate show. But no. Smarks aren't bothering to watch it. In fact, most smark cities have shat on 205 live.

It's because smarks are primarily leftists, and leftists don't enjoy things, they enjoy complaining about things and eventually destroying them from within. Comic books, video games, and now pro wrestling have fallen to people who have no actual love for the hobby, but for the constantly dissatisfied internet culture surrounding it. 205 is everything these people claim to want in a wrestling show--fantastic wrestling, diverse styles, consistently great booking, storyline continuity, character development, and more in a concise, one-hour show with fantastic main events and no mid-match ad breaks. But they don't watch. Wny? Because their real hobby is throwing beach balls and whining about Raw and Smackdown on Reddit with their internet buddies. When normal people don't like something, they simply don't watch it.

The birth of the "poser smarks". Ever since the internet made it easier to watch other promotions, more people have started bandwagoning the "anti-WWE" crowd. All the people who genuinely love NJPW are now lumped into the same group who are bandwagoners that only recently watched NJPW only to watch the Elite/Kenny. That's why people who claim that "everyone is a smark these days" like Meltzer are wrong. If there are more smarks today, 205 live wouldn't have went under because their product is aimed at smarks.

Hopefully, follow SD to Fridays. If 205 ends up on NXT, the talent will get even less exposure than they already will. Although, it was quite refreshing to not only see Lio Rush wrestle again, but also earn a title shot last night.
