Smackdown '99 theme and Beautiful People are still the best themes. Hi-octane, fast paced and testosterone-filled.
Even the intros are better. Check out a compilation of all Smackdowm intros on Youtube.If you check the old ones, they show them talking smack and stuff and when the "chorus" hits, you see them slam each other through tables, do slams, finishers with quick cuts and last but not least, divas showing their assets.
Now check out as they get newer and newer. There's less rock, more rap or edm. It's a slow paced snoozefest that just shows all the wrestlers the same way they present the characters on a sitcom intro. Finally, see the most recent Smackdown intro to fall into despair: they show clips of the wrestlers LITERALLY standing on turnbuckles doing a pose. Literally the only thing the want to highlight. There's no clips of ANYONE doing a wrestling move at all or clips of promos.
An intro compilation is all you need to see if you want to see how wrestling as reached its sad state. My serotonin levels hit rock bottom
