It's been ten years since I had any friends. No one will call me, no one will talk to me. Just about ten years this August. I don't feel very lonely anymore, and I rarely have thoughts of animosity or hatred against people anymore. I see people with friends now, and I become curious. I usually wonder what it is I'm doing wrong, if there's anything I could fix. Sometimes I'll get advice and people say that a job or a couple college classes would fix my problem, despite doing both of these, with great rapport and commendations from management, I haven't really had a great time with the social aspect of my life. Now I have just given up on it entirely. I'm typing this now because I don't really know how people view me or even if they think of me as a wildly disconnected person. It's just been so long without meaningful connection that I don't remember what it's supposed to feel like, so I don't wonder about it anymore.
How personal should one be I wonder? To graft the heart with love, and mend it with compassion... it seems a very intimate ordeal! Not something to be taken lightly.
