the devil already has so many souls.
what would he do with mine?
torture it?
not likely
The devil already has so many souls
put your faith in something better
I only put my faith in myself because you're really the only person you can trust and rely on.
the devil doesn't accumulate souls to do anything with them, he accumulates them to prove to god that free will was a mistake. the idea is that when you sin, you enter an implicit contract with the devil, with your soul as the terms, and when you repent, you terminate that contract. by dying while still in the contract, you're agreeing to be collected by the devil, which in turn effectively means you're agreeing with his platform that free will doesn't work, since that's the cause he's collecting souls for. your soul in hell is like your signature on an official petition to god to nerf free will. that's also why sinning is going against god. you're perverting the purpose of your free will by using that free will to metaphysically speak out against the very same free will. furthermore since it was god's heartfelt gift to man you're pretty much telling god "i don't like it, take it back." that makes the big nebulous sky brain sad.

In this situation, it paints God to be rather stupid and irresponsible. Like some kind of naive cosmic monkey dad with an easily resolvable quandary that he created.
he didn't give man free will because he was stupid, he did it because he loved us. he knew this would happen. the real question is who wins the bet in the end. the real question is whether the gift of free will was worth the price in sin. god already knows the answer, so the answer is probably that it was worth it, since otherwise he wouldn't have done it (since he also already knew the answer beforehand).
If I rape my wife that's not a sin in God's eyes.
It's not freewill if you can't find God's laws to be inconsistent and amend them to fit something more logical only to be damned to eternity for it. That doesn't sound like love. That sounds like a hostage situation. I shouldn't be smarter and more virtuous than God, and yet I and most people are. That wouldn't be free will as much as Twitter has an actual free speech policy.
>If I rape my wife that's not a sin in God's eyes
wrong. is a sin. violates free will
i don't believe in a god that would see things the way you claim he does. the god i was speaking of in my previous posts isn't one i believe in, just one i know of
us trying to define God is like an ant trying to understand math
we simply cannot comprehend what is beyond the universe
>wrong. is a sin. violates free will
I don't think those sentences make a point or even really make sense, user. Please clarify.
>i don't believe in a god that would see things the way you claim he does.
Well I guess good luck finding a religion or a direct pipeline to a God that fits all of your exact views and beliefs to a tee
>the god i was speaking of in my previous posts isn't one i believe in, just one i know of
aight fair enough
GOD DOESN'T REAL ACTUALLY
they do but I just don't need a religious arg
No what you said really doesn't make any sense. Raping your wife would be taking part in an act of freewill, not a violation of freewill. A violation of freewill doesn't make sense in this context because it's not.... listen, I'm not smart enough to explain why your semantics don't make any sense here but they don't.
God is the ghost in the machine and the operator.
I'm pretty sure we can understand few things. We're pretty smart. There's absolutely no reason it couldn't be explained to us in Cliffnotes form. If it's all really a petty back and forth between God and the Devil (which considering the omnipotence and intelligence God would have to posses in order to have created the universe, this CERTAINLY IS NOT the case), then that's something a child could understand.
The devil doesn't need to torture you when you suffer eternal torment in whatever circle of hell your meant to be sent to
user I was talking about the Devil that you sell your soul to in a movie about learning the Blues not the Devil who looks like hellboy and stabs guys with hot things for an eternity. Lot of venom in what you're saying though. Almost as if there's evil in the way you speak. I don't detect a drop of kindness or warmth.
That's the same devil though. Once you sell your soul to him, heaven's gates are shut for you, and you'll end up where all the forsaken souls await their punishment
I dunno if you can literally sell your soul to the devil. I probably can't forge a document, sign it, reap the rewards, then die and be eternally damned. That's what I'm talking about. The selling part implies consent, whereas I'd imagine most people who would be eligible for damnation (according to various rule systems that can never seem to agree) aren't consenting to it.
Why yes, the devil shows people the things they crave most of all. They don't sign a document, but they agree by handshake. And they agree for they can't see the devil before them.
"The devil takes many forms: youth, gold, serpent, or lamb"
i wouldn't confuse what men write with something we literally can't measure
we cannot know and it is likely far greater than we could understand with our intellect and limited senses
we could be told about it, sure, cliffnotes etc but i doubt we could understand it honestly.
i have had dreams about realities more complex than this one, new colors, shapes, geometry, physical laws etc. makes this look like a cartoon
even so, doubt it was anything like the highest
Is the Devil also a religion that happens to be one that doesn't have a Devil or isn't one of the big three? Not a joke question.
I think we would be able to understand that such a force exists and it would solve the issue of human suffering.
Well, you then must say, human suffering is the point itself. It's a test. A test to see if freewill is worth it. But that is ultimately futile because and all-knowing God would know the results before he even Thanos snapped existence into being. I can conceive of that at least. I could conceive the existence of something just as I could anything in the room I'm in right now.
why you cryin bitch cheer up
