It was great that he got it and defended it for a while but it got real fucking tiring to see the champ out there dancing and throwing pancakes.
Better storyline here would have had Kofi separate himself from the new day to stand on his own against Randy and show that he can be the 09 Kofi while he slowly dropped stuff like the pancakes and other new day shit.
I'd probably 'injure' him the week before so Randy could cut a strong promo and give people a break from Kofi. Then at clash after Randy is in the ring have big E do the intro and suddenly have the music cut off, wait a moment, announcer call for Kofi, wait even longer and then drop kofi's old music and have him out in his old gear for that pop.
