>Another WWE draft will be taking place in five weeks.
>As noted in a recent Observer about some roster changes with the SmackDown move to FOX and the company wanting to go back to talent exclusivity on each brand, WWE has tentatively decided on dates for two new draft shows.
>The draft will start on the SmackDown episode in Las Vegas on Friday, October 11, as a way to try and maintain the expected big audience of the FOX premiere one week earlier.
>The Raw draft will then take place on Monday, October 14 in Denver.
>This is part of a series of moves that will be made to freshen up both shows both with talent and in other ways during October.
>SmackDown debuts on FOX on Friday, October 4. The show is taking place in Los Angeles, with the theme of it being SmackDown's 20th anniversary celebration. Brock Lesnar, Kurt Angle, Lita, Mick Foley, Booker T, Hulk Hogan, Trish Stratus, Goldberg, Jerry "The King" Lawler, Mark Henry, Ric Flair, and Sting are advertised for the premiere episode.

>Yet another parade of old farts
Dead before 2025.
Thanks
confirmed by the podcast
I bet they will draft Roman to RAW because he is over on Smack.
Hope Roman takes the belt off Seff.
The TV deal lasts until october 2024, no way they lose all their capital in 2 months
Smack is gonna be the A show now ya simp
Didn’t they just do the shakeup not too long ago? It feels like they just started justifying everyone being on both shows with the wildcard shit.
Brock to Sd.
Every one in that commercial to sd.
It feels like theyve been doing that bs for years i fucking hate it
>Starting the draft a week after your show debuts
Well that just seems dumb. I expected a draft of course, but I thought they'd do it before the debut.
The first show is a special fuckhuge anniversary show, this way they get big ratings from that and big ratings from the draft
Either do a brand split and stick to it or don't. They keep doing it and then six months to a year down the line guys are showing up on the other show. They can't fucking stick to anything so why should I care about another draft which will be rendered redundant by the rumble?
i don't see the point in this, why not just make everyone do what Bray does? do taped skits for 1 show and show up on the other?
all the women to RAW
all the tag teams to Smack
Women should get their own show. Then when it doesn't draw enough to stay on the air they can go back to doing evening gown piss break matches.
Can’t wait to see cawdee pick the revival for his first pick for AEW
They need to get names over ASAP for NXT.
NXT is fucking doomed if they dont get someone who can talk and improvise as well as Jericho
The brand split has been the dumbest fucking thing Vince ever did
>they need to get names over to NXT
Johnny Yea Forums
>Implying.
Vince will always consider RAW the A brand.
Do drafts give big ratings?
They need to make sure to move all the good looking people to Smack. It's on a Friday which means they're gonna want bars to tune in.
The concept is fine, it's just they always destroy Smackdown.
First Brand Split had damn-near every star on RAW and when Heyman made stars out of who's, WWE immediately raided most of their talent.
2016, Smackdown was actually good, despite not having any real stars on their show. So by the next "shakeup" they took everything good on the roster, stopped solo-brand shows because RAW's were legendarily terrible, and put Shane-O on the forefront of the show, when he was just a guy backstage who made matches.
Used to. But this is just to change rosters again and get rid of wildcard.
>The concept is fine
No, it's fucking stupid
If there were smart, they'd have Randy win the belt, book a tournament for the month leading to the FOX debut, then book the rematch one SD the 2 weeks later with Randy winning so Kofi gets out of the title picture for now, then have Roman win the tournament and have Roman win the title from Randy on the FOX debut.
At this point, Roman is actually over now, he's not being booed, it would establish Roman as the guy to this new audience and you could have all the old people congratulate him as the show closes.
>This is part of a series of moves that will be made to freshen up both shows both with talent and in other ways during October.
There's so much to unpick from this one line I feel like I'm going to have a hernia typing this out;
>1) They had the shake-up in April and introduced the 'wildcard rule' in May which was meant to freshen both shows by having certain talent appear on both shows. If after just four fucking months the storylines are getting stale enough to warrant a draft, then maybe the problem is your fucking creative team.
2) They already tried to freshen the product via the introduction of the 24/7 and women's tag titles and it's done diddly-squat to increase ratings. What next, 6-person-intergender tag titles?
3) What the fuck is the point of having a full-fledged draft if the next show after the draft is a REUNION SHOW FILLED WITH NOTHING BUT NOSTALGIA ACTS!
4) Who is even going to host this draft now that the GM's (Paige & Kurt Angle) were fired? Is it going to be another meaningless McMahon circlejerk where they talk about change and 'the future' whilst doing absolute fucking nothing but putting themselves over?
5) If this leads to a brand warfare angle at Survivor Series this company can suck a tailpipe. Not only has the wlidcard rule rendered the brands irrelevant at this point, but why would any of these characters have loyalty to a brand they joined just a few weeks ago? Especially when the McMahons kayfabe run both shows so it doesn't really matter who wins anyway.
6) I presume this draft means they'll be gutting NXT again. If they do it makes no fucking sense because NXT is moving to USA Network and expanding to two hours so they need stars for the show. If they aren't then it's going to be a fucking underwhelming draft filled with geeks who've been circling the undercard with no direction for months/years.
There's probably some shit I'm forgetting but this company needs to fucking die already. Fuck off.
So start with the hero winning? I’d have the heel Roman chases win the belt from Kofi on the fox debut
Draft is a week after the reunion show, not the other way around
>typing all this and using reddit spacing
didn’t read lol go back
the reunion show is actually the first episode of smack on fox, then they're doing the draft the week after. I'm not a big fan of this because during their last reunion show they barely did anything storyline related, and it seems likely that they'd do that again since there's a draft that'll shift the storylines around on the next episode. Also I think Steph is supposed to be the kayfabe leader of RAW, and Shane for Smack so it'll probably be them butting heads again.
The correct answer is who gives a shit.
>draft
>not shakeup
Based. They're gonna start from scratch.
based retard thinks a tv contract is paid in one lump sum.
Where did I imply that? My point is they have a huge revenue source until then
Who do you think is getting drafted to NXT?
Apollo
does anything WWE does?
>the brand split will actually matter again
Thank fuck.
If it's announced with enough time to really hype it up, it should result in an uptick in viewership.
...
Hoping for Big Dog on RAW
What the fuck does it matter?
It's all still gonna be written and booked by Vince, so it's just different faces for the same thing we've seen for years.
Why do boomers like to see this old washed up fags hoggin around taking TV time, they dont wrestle, they dont have any storylines, literally all they do is
>Great to be here on RAM/SD
>Catchprases
>Bye
Fucking check your rotting brains, faggots
yawn
