Did you know that the suicide rate for men in Japan is lower right now than the suicide rate for men(esp. white) in America?
Two infinities.
that's interesting. america has managed to cuck its population harder than japan has. then again, i wouldn't say overworking your population is cucking.
it depends
if a victim drowns themselves, a ranger's oversight may be necessary for temporarily damming a river, for example
what about hanging victims and drug overdose ones?
!! TEXT WALL INCOMING !!
That is the biggest difference. In Japan, 75% of suicides come from shit like losing your job at 40 and being unable to get employment after that or something. Depression only accounts for %7-9 percent of the reasons accounted. Here the people who really wanna off themselves are people 15-20something and 70+.
Also of note is that Japan has been trending toward self expression values over the decades while America's been trending toward the secular and survivalist end recently. This may just be corollary, however.
that's really interesting aswell. japan seems to be totally focused on guiding people towards the workforce. idk wtf america is doing though. from what i've seen from japan, people go to university and study mostly so that they can get a job. for some reason that doesn't seem to be the case in america, specially in the last few years.
I'm about to increase that rate even further
It can be pretty localized though. I've found that conditions and even fundamental values for Americans are wildly different depending on where you're talking about. Like where I live sees almost no crime right now despite being super racially and culturally diverse. Like, the pressure to perform is really strong here. Also, Japan is changing a lot tho.. like 20yrs ago, otaku basically meant "child rapist" in the public consciousness then and now the fucking mayor of Tokyo self identifies as one. Wild shit man...
if it was obviously a suicide--as with a hanging--then they're obligated to administer first aid if practicable, report the death, and secure the area; anything more would probably be considered outside the scope of their duties
No, try not to if you can. There's no afterlife and the only place you'll ever find happiness is in this life. If you kill yourself now, then all you'd ever know is misery, and then you go back to being unborn.
I've known enough happiness. I don't know if I can go through any more periods of life.
it sure is, fren. your city looks comfy.
i see. thanks, fren. you helped me a lot with your replies.
Still, whatever problem you have, you must try to overcome it. Rather than surrender, rage against the fire and let it slay you as you fade into non-existence kicking and screaming. You just might find it happier on the other side. That and try moving. Georgia really made me want to kill myself while nova is a lot better. Just be careful not to over idealize for yourself an unrealistic promised land.
Also this is a nice reminder even though the show's stupid:

I just don't feel like putting any more effort into this. Sure, I could theoretically fight my way out of my current situation and hypothetically I could end up in a place where I'm more comfortable/safe/happy/whatever, but that's just another temporary situation until the next absolute shitstorm of terribleness and I just don't know if I can deal with another one of these cycles. It's getting to be too much at this point.
Having said all of that, I'm still going to make some kind of effort. I'm just not sure when I'm going to give up completely. But it feels like it's right around the corner.
It is :) accessing these sort of areas also why a useful bachelors degree is important. Save gender studies for after your stem degree and mba.
It does depend on your outlook/worldview to some degree. You've got to train your mind, like a circus animal almost, to see the good. Don't deny the importance of others, mind you. Connecting with others and finding purpose in other people, speaking generally here, is often the key. The most common topic a depressed person talks about is themselves.
i have another short and silly question. can park rangers quit their job whenever they want or is there a more proper way of doing it?
before quitting do rhe following:
-steal a fast car, do a speedrun through your country
-try to rob a bank
-fire a machinegun with tracers into the night sky
-fugg a ho
-plant lots of seeds of this tree en.wikipedia.org
Most people have abandoned me at this point. I'm quite alone right now. I don't know how to find a good community of people. I don't think they want me to be a part of it anyway.
If I had the energy/motivation to do all that shit I probably wouldn't want to die. It's very contradictory to say, "oh you want to die? do all of this shit that's completely insane first." it doesn't work that way. I'm in a state of mind to just lie on the floor until I die. If I had the energy to steal a car and rob a bank I probably wouldn't want to die. It's a Catch-22
then take druge first 2 get energy lole
pro tip: DO NOT TAKE DRUGE; IT IS FAST LANE TO LIFE FAILURE
*Is also why
Gosh, how embarrassing..
Interesting info bout that btw.. garnered some views.

If you are lonely, then know that you are an unreliable judge of your own situation. You often misinterpret the intentions and emotions of others and have a heightened sense of harm that is out of touch with reality. You have to learn to identify this distorted perception that comes with loneliness and give people the benefit of doubt. Even if you are legitimately hurt by others, you can't let your maladapted mind/intuition keep you from living.
I will smoke all of the crack, that sounds like a good solution
Do it pussy
